I don't understand why people turn to Pentecostalism, Evangelicalism etc. This is beautiful and mysterious, this reaches back to antiquity.

It's because the Catholic Church hardly has any beautiful Liturgy like this anymore. We must continue to support the ICKSP so that one day it will grow bigger and bigger and attract more people!

People turn to false, heretical, beliefs because they are dead in sin. How easy is it to fool oneself that they are "once saved, always saved" and be able to continue to live a life of wickedness.

My mother set a beautiful dining room table for guests (and I helped)...silver, painted dishes, crystal, flowers, place settings...but nothing compares to the Gricigliano altars...and we never had a lovely, live lamb...just a roasted one.

Alexandre Leivas - yes, but it’s all a drama. None of them are validly ordained... including ‘Cardinal’ Burke. They received their orders according to the new rite, which lacks both matter and form.

Eric Charbonnier They did NOT use the pre-1951 prayer for the )ews. It invalides the entire Mass of the Presanctified given a validily ordained priest or validily consecrated bishop is on the Altar.

@@etherealcatholic5711 They didn't use this prayer, and they were right : one of the conditions for using the pre-1955 rites of the Holy Week was to adopt the prayer of Benedict XVI for the Jews.

All of the ICKSP seminarian study Latin for over 7 years, and if you’re not a seminarian you have access to a missal with Latin translations of the common prayers and proper prayers of the mass. After a while of attending the Latin Mass, you will easily be able to follow + pray the mass and understand with zero knowledge of Latin. God bless you.

@@luis_techie If you say so, buddy. At the end of the day, it boils down to your preference. If you really wanted to be traditional, you would conduct Mass in Greek, the language of the early Christians.

The beauty of tradition and the mass of the ages lift up the soul to heaven and because of that many faithful became saints. What we lost after Vatican 2. Thank God slowly but strongly this liturgy is coming back with the help of some Bishops, Cardinals, and priests to the glory of God.

Do they have Cardinal Burke in the old violet choir dress, used in penitential seasons and a number of other days during the liturgical year? It is best known from old pictures of Cardinals in Conclave and on the balcony of St.Peter’s after the election.

Indeed, and, as you can see, after the Pascal Vigil, it is replaced with the usual red choir dress for summer, without ermine. It was normally in Easter when winter's clothes were changed to summer clothes.

Traditionis custodes: I. An opportunity offered by St. John Paul II and, with even greater magnanimity, by Benedict XVI, intended to recover the unity of an ecclesial body with diverse liturgical sensibilities, was exploited to widen the gaps, reinforce the divergences, and encourage disagreements that injure the Church, block her path, and expose her to the peril of division. II. But I am nonetheless saddened that the instrumental use of Missale Romanum of 1962 is often characterized by a rejection not only of the liturgical reform, but of the Vatican Council II itself, claiming, with unfounded and unsustainable assertions, that it betrayed the Tradition and the “true Church”. The path of the Church must be seen within the dynamic of Tradition “which originates from the Apostles and progresses in the Church with the assistance of the Holy Spirit” ( DV 8). A recent stage of this dynamic was constituted by Vatican Council II where the Catholic episcopate came together to listen and to discern the path for the Church indicated by the Holy Spirit. To doubt the Council is to doubt the intentions of those very Fathers who exercised their collegial power in a solemn manner cum Petro et sub Petro in an ecumenical council, and, in the final analysis, to doubt the Holy Spirit himself who guides the Church. III. A final reason for my decision is this: ever more plain in the words and attitudes of many is the close connection between the choice of celebrations according to the liturgical books prior to Vatican Council II and the rejection of the Church and her institutions in the name of what is called the “true Church.” One is dealing here with behaviour that contradicts communion and nurtures the divisive tendency - “I belong to Paul; I belong instead to Apollo; I belong to Cephas; I belong to Christ” - against which the Apostle Paul so vigorously reacted. [ In defense of the unity of the Body of Christ, I am constrained to revoke the faculty granted by my Predecessors. The distorted use that has been made of this faculty is contrary to the intentions that led to granting the freedom to celebrate the Mass with the Missale Romanum of 1962.

Reid How do you know it's pagan? It's basically part of the Holy Week, the Adoration Liturgy of Most Blessed Sacrament of the Eucharist, the Holy Commemoration of the Most Sorrowful Passion of our Blessed Lord Jesus Christ and the Most Victorious Resurrection of our Blessed Lord Jesus Christ. They are all from the Sacred Scripture (Holy Bible).
