Welcome to Holyhead Breakwater Country Park. It's an accessible area at the tip of Holyhead that used to be a brickworks. The area has a small lake, filled with Coy Carp, attracting lots of land, and sea birds, model boat builders, and people fishing.
There are a lot of open spaces, flat and level paths for my wheelchair (as well as disabled fishing spots), a large playground for children, and lots of examples of ironwork from the site's history. There's still a large chimney looming over the site.
The areas is superb for birdwatching. It's adjacent to the Holyhead Breakwater, and the port itself. One of our favourite places to take a quick break. A hidden little gem.
This is perfect stock footage of Anglesey and Wales, including Holyhead.
