John Candy, not Bernard Hill. Bernard Hill is alive and well (and wasn't in Home Alone), John Candy died aged 43 in 1994.

I remember this movie staying in the cinemas for six months straight that year and it was the #1 movie in the US all those months. Parents will take their kids like five times and even more to see it. Kids couldn't get enough of Kevin, making Mackaulie Culkin the most famous and richest child on the planet. Btw, the score of this movie is superb.
