There was a post credits scene that was cut from the movie. I don't know if it was filmed, but the scene was Harry and Marv are in prison, watching TV with other inmates, and they're watching the movie "Angels With Filthy Souls". It gets to the scene where Johnny kills Snakes, and Harry and Marv look at each other and realize that it was a movie.

As the baby of the family, I relate to the struggle in the beginning. The thing is, I can see both sides: He's being a brat and everyone is busy with their own stuff, but he's just a kid, who's probably never been on such a big trip before, so he doesn't know what to do. And everyone's either being mean, ignoring/overlooking him, or blaming him for simple mistakes. No one is listening to him, so he isn't listening back.

I saw this and the second film in theaters when I was younger. The movie ended up taking the top box office spot for 12 weeks, opening in mid-November and not being displaced until early February the following year by the Julia Roberts thriller, Sleeping with the Enemy. It held the record for the most successful box office comedy for 18+ years and was a Thanksgiving staple airing every year on NBC for around a decade.

That's hollywood, they have no concept of living a normal life, of struggling just to pay your rent, almost every movie that involves such a setting (a family, a home, a community/neighborhood), it's always the hollywood setting: massive mansions and estates, for the "working man's/family's home/neighborhood/community" character/family in the movie... maybe the best example is the 'elysium' movie, I'm like, yep, elysium, that's hollywood, and the slums are the rest of us...

OHHH Classic, the remake has only made me appreciate the writing better. The set-up of Kevin being a little snot but his family being equally annoying and mean to him. The time we spend with Kevin just trying to leave on his own and learning not to judge people. THE PERFECT COMEDY OF ALL THE ATTACKS, all working to make Kevin not look like a sociopath but a charming clever kid

I have a large family myself since my mom was 1 out of 14 kids XD So I have a lot of Aunt's, Uncles and Cousins, plus most of us are girls with only a handful of boys. The Holidays were exactly like the beginning of the movie, crowded and a bit overwhelming at times. Of course, we picked on each other, but weren't downright mean.

The family situation in the film is complicated in the film but Kevin lives in the house with his parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. All the other children are his cousins and the other man (Frank) is his paternal uncle and cousins' dad, the other woman is his aunt (Frank's wife) and cousins' mother. Kevin's siblings are Buzz, Jeff (the one who says Kevin is a disease), Linnie (the one who spoke French) and Megan (the one who picked on him about packing his suitcase and called him helpless).

Daniel Stern/Harv is afraid of spiders. That's why he freaked out. (NOTE: tarantula spiders aren't poisoness to humans but look like they might be. 4. NO WAY could a child get the rope tight enough between the house and treehouse without a wench of some kind. 5. There's ANOTHER NO WAY Kevin could clean up that fast. 6. Not true. He actually wasn't screaming at all because it would freak the spider out and make it bite, and the sound was dubbed in.

@@Rmlohner if he didn’t scream, then I get it. I don’t remember if he actually screamed or not. But the whole spider thing being a real spider was true. He truly was scared shitless by it being a real spider and them not warning him in advance

If you guys haven’t watched it yet, I recommend Uncle Buck. Another John Hughes film. When it comes to Home Alone, It’s the film that started it all.

Did anyone notice how the wound on the snow shovel man's handheld as he healed his relationship with his son thought that was a little sweet nugget in the movie as well symbolism

The old guy was an actor by the name of Roberts Blossom. He passed away in 2011. He was very well known in the 70's for acting in low budget horror movies. Low budget or not, he could be down right creepy. My favorite of his horror movies is one from 1974 called "Derranged". That movie is the Ed Gein story, only the character names are different.

I highly recommend you guys watch “Eloise at Christmastime” it is set at the Plaza hotel, which is also the same location for “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York”. I wonder if in the cinematic universe Kevin and Eloise ever band together to wreak havoc on the hotel lol (Eloise is suppose to be 6 and Kevin in that movie I believe is 10) but them banding together would have been freakin amazing! IMHO… anyways yeah Home Alone 2 and Eloise at Christmastime for sure. Keep up the great content guys
