You have to admit, the special effects of the first 3 films were absolute genius. Imagine the time and effort it took to pull off all those effects. Nowadays, most of the special effects are done with computers.

It may not have been the best, but I enjoyed the traps in Home Alone 3. The actors did a great job in their roles, and it's my second favorite behind Home Alone 2.

These traps were oddly less terrifying as a kid than as an adult lol. Some of them really make you cringe in pain.

This was one of the most skillfully planned out movies ive ever seen.... not really any special effects or anything all phyically planned amazing!!!! This was and still is one of my favorites.. ALong with my daughter whos only 4🤣🤣🤙

If anyone is wondering what happened to Alice in Home Alone 3 with better detail before she jumped on the other side of the gate with a muddy patch of ground.The night before, Alex had hooked a garden hose to the hot water line in the basement and run it out to the gate. Hot water was seeping into the ground all night and Alex only did this after his parents went to sleep so the hot water for their showers would be available before the traps were setup and his mother can take a warm bath due to it being so cold with snow outside. Alice dropped down on the other side of the gate and immediately sank down in mud up to her knees.Somewhere in that mud was a trip wire made of fishing line. The line was connected to a Santa flower plot carefully balanced on the roof gutter.When Alice hit the trip line, it made the cinder block tip out of the gutter.Alice was covered in mud now.

Weird thing I noticed harry always learns from Kevin’s traps never falling for it twice but can’t see very clear new traps while Marv never learns but can see obvious traps like the tight rope being a trap and the rope off a building

I actually liked Home Alone 3. Yeah obviously it doesn't star the McAllister's but unlike Home Alone Taking Back the House or Home Alone: The Holiday Heist, or even.... Home Sweet Home Alone, Home Alone 3 captures the spirit of the first movie. I also like the throwback to Harry and Marv when that Alice chick takes a crowbar and tries to hit a mouse in that guy's pants but ends up smacking him in the parts. That was hilarious

I'm not gonna lie, when a movie has cartoon violence but it's in live action, it's always terrifying.

I loved how all these traps (and the burglars' shocked reactions) were like slapstick comedy stunts on cartoon villains. For the comedy of the movie, they really do make me LOL! Very loud!

You missed a trap in the third where Alice tries to kill the pet rat but the rat escapes and she hits the man in the boys. Also, I kind of think you've skipped four but I understand that the fourth didn't have a lot of traps in that one. I grew up with the first three films, the first two were incredible, the third one, I'll admit, it wasn't the same where he's only home alone for a few hours till the family came home at the end of the day but the traps in the third one were just as funny as the ones from the first and second one.

Joe Pesci and Danial Stern nailed the humor in Home Alone 1 (no pun intended ;) ). Fun for all ages. Everything in 2 and beyond felt a little *too* slapstick.
