Planted tanks - even the smallest ones - help us relax, forget about the everyday problems. They deliver continuous stories of a natural underwater environment: the harmony of fish, plants, sand, rocks, and wood. Topped with the experience of a true feast - feeding the fish. To observe all this is the ultimate therapeutical experience. This video tells you the story of Balazs' 5-month-old home nano tank. Sit back and relax.

"If I can convince you somehow that you can do it, that you can think of a great layout, and plant it with the proper plants and have a lot of details in your tank. Then my mission on this channel is done." This is such a wholesome channel and what a great guy. I'm also in the middle of battling algae that bloomed right during quarantine, for similar reasons as this tank. It took some detective work to figure out what I did wrong, but I'm finally regaining control of the algae. The greatest thing is this video somehow helped me feel a bit better from the guilt by seeing how you went through something similar. Keep up the great videos!

Beautiful my friend. I have a question I’m also in the process in setting up a planted aquarium. I got inspired with your beautiful tanks at Green Aqua including your personal tank. I just purchased a Twinstar 600E I got a dimmer with it also. 7 levels to adjust the dimmer. Should I turn up the light all the way up? Doing something similar to your tank to the plants.
@GreenAquaShop
@GreenAquaShop 4 жыл бұрын
If you have CO2 you can gradually bring the lighting levels up, yes. Just to be on the safe side. See? this is why I don't like advanced tech (like adjustable filters, lights, etc) because they make you think. I just put the light on and fought the algae, haha.

This video was amazing. Thank you for sitting down and taking the time to explain the processes in getting an aquarium aquascape going. It's easy to look at all the beautiful pictures, but the time and the work it took to get an aquarium balanced is the part I really appreciate. I'm in the first month of my first planted tank. No CO2 (yet) because I was scared.. so as soon as I can I'm going to quit being scared and try it.😁 I really enjoyed storytime this morning with you, your beautiful wife,all your little fish, shrimp, and snails. You really helped me understand some of the things I'm facing!! I have turned corner of my bedroom into a little mini fish room and into a little retreat where I can watch and appreciate aquariums while I watch your videos! I hope you all have a blessed and beautiful day! Much love and stay safe my friends❤️🙏

I have always to add a few extra algae pellets... staring at a planted tank is very therapeutical for me as well. Had to move just before the pandemic unfolded, then, various circumstances prevented me from restating my tanks. The two fish I still have left, are still in their heated, temporary, clear tub. Finally, I have started and my tanks and they are progressing through their dark start cycling. I can hardly wait till planting day, followed by stocking fish. Like you say; aquascaping, aqua gardening and fishkeeping is wonderful, centering, therapy!

My first planted tank is right now and it's a 75-gallon "high-tech" setup!. You inspired me with your Pagoda Stone Video. So I bought about 120# of Pagoda Stone and found some beautiful Driftwood on a local beach. It's heavily planted with Monte Carlo, Hygrophila Pinnatafida, Myrio Red & Green, Ludwigia Super Red Mini, Pogostemon Helferi, and many other species. I wouldn't have had the "balls" to take this challenge on if it wasn't for you and the other KZfaqrs who inspired me to create my own masterpiece. It's been going two months now and going good. I now also have a beautiful planted nano CRS tank as well. Thanks as always for the content!

The Nano Aquascape is AMAZING! You are a true master at your art Balaz! Great detail for such a small aquascape, the hardscape, the planting, makes it all come together like its own little world. Very serene. Love how you explain the setup of the Nano and the importance of each step. As for talking to yourself, I always talk to myself when I am doing maintenance on my aquascape, you only have to worry if you start to argue with yourself lol! THANK YOU for another awesome video!

Fish tanks and aquascaping are wonderful and therapeutic. I love working on mine. Takes my mind off of anything and everything. I also started with no co2 thinking it was complicated, once I took the plunge the plants grew way faster and fuller! Even the colours were more vibrant. I'll always recommend co2 to new hobbyists.

I have always done low tech no co2 injection, (some times no) filter but your videos have inspired me do co2 and filtration. You can't beat that beautiful plant growth you get from the co2 injection, plus the water agitation from the filter. Yes there are good low tech tanks, but in this hobby some times you just have to take a chance ❤️ (plus, those lily pipes are just eye candy for aquarium hobbiest)

Your football analogy with the shrimp and fish was spot on. There is so much going on inside of our tanks. This video was outstanding. I am thankful that you tell about your tank issues. This helps us find solutions to our own Tank struggles. I think water changes are crucial when injected CO2 and Fertilizer is present. Side note: You are a wonderful spokesman for your Country. I bet many of us will plan vacations to visit your land because of your introduction. I find myself reading the history and would love to vacation there one day:)

Budapest has been swarming with tourists up to this point. It is a fun place to be, a true European city with lots of parties, architecture, museums, culinary stuff and baths of course. No wonder they loved it, it has even become a bit overcrowded for me. I hope things get back to normal soon and we will be able to have you around. That would be wonderful.

You guys should do a live video viewing, where the video is pre recorded but the audience watches it as one. I got a powerhead for my bucket I use fro water changes just like you! Your tank is getting better every time you do an update on it Balasz! Really like the details and the combination of delicate and small structured plants you've put in it. Also excellent choice of livestock, suits the scape really well. I think when the top left is grown in it will be even better! It's crazy how us aquarists enjoy watching the every day real-life show in our tanks, it's just calming and indeed therapeutic. If more people would be in the hobby, I think the world would be a better place! All the best to you and the Green Aqua team, stay save everybody! Nick

You are finally back! i was quite worried about where u went! My first tank i went straight for co2 system and i am happy with it! And my yellow shrimp does the same thing, they hang on to the drift wood just to eat the fish food on the surface of the water. I always feed them while enjoy my coffee/tea in the morning. i am considering buying a camera because my phone dont really take good macro shots. but cameras are expensive!
@GreenAquaShop
@GreenAquaShop 4 жыл бұрын
Oh, yeah the are, tell me about it, haha. A good macro is imperative, we only have a 50mm on this apsc camera we have, but Viktor's 100mm on his Canon makes much much better pictures.
