Please take this suggestion w love. The entry wall pictures seem out of place. Maybe Paint the wall black and change the switches and covers to Matt black. Place a 19x50 wood frame mirror between the switch to coordinate w fireplace across the room. Blessings on your home and journey. 🙏🏾

You should do two massive floor mirrors on the sides of you fireplace with bronze picture lights.

I love the idea of moving the artwork up and having the mirrors below, not a fan of painting the wall black though. I do however love the big print family portrait wall idea.

I think the dining room ceiling would be nice black with a large vintage/distressed chunky wood dinner table. I also think by your fireplace, black cabinets with a couple chunky floating wood shelves and large mirrors above. I love the mix of black and wood.

Hey y’all! Love your home and the updates and pieces you’ll have already added, nice choices! As for the fireplace wall, black is a go, it’s timeless and I think will be around. I’ll do the entire wall black with picture frame moulding, extending this design all the way to the catwalk. I think defining the two spaces would be the least of my worry because I think the over design outweighs that issue. I would also consider open shelving with the cabinets beneath or taller built ins on both sides of the fireplace to help fill in the high walls, I would go above that with art work, only above the fireplace and to the left, going towards the catwalk, I’ll let the picture moulding do its job. Leave the wall with the fireplace white and add the picture frame molding. The mirrors will clash being so close to the pictures

Hey besties! I love the updates and the ideas. I love the outdoor tV and the idea of the enclosed patio to extend the living space. I was wondering about the protection for the tV from rain so that’s good. That powder room is an art piece itself it’s ashame you can’t just keep the door open but the guest will be wowed. As far as the long fireplace wall maybe some floating shelves spaced apart and staggered along the wall and then your art piece at the very top shelf or the middle shelf. I was thinking about 3 -4 shelves each side and you can put a cabinet on each side for storage

Hi you guys..as for the fireplace area I think the fireplace is fine but as an idea for the sides of the fireplace I think some tall rectangle mirrors with black trim..bench seating underneath and a picture light above the mirrors.. yes the rug should be a low pile rug.. keep up the good work you're doing great..loving it👍👍💜💜😘 God bless 🙏🙏

I think it depends on how fast you all get over things! I think just black paint is nice! I struggle with things that are trendy because literally next year I won’t like it! I’m so glad I didn’t go grey because I hate it now🤣

I absolutely love black and white and a lot of contrast. But, in my opinion, too many black rooms and huge contrasts is going to make them all make less impact. Find one area to pack the punch and then let the rest fall back and just be beautiful. Too many all black rooms and eventually the house will become very dark and less family friendly. I get it, we bought a new construction and just moved in 2 months ago and it's taking everything out of me not to run wild. Beautiful home though.
