Yes, manicured gardens in rural areas are silly. Courtyard and windmill look great. Not busy at all which is rare with too many gardens. It does look like a lot of work.

I’m surprised they can’t grow barrel cactus but they have huge Opuntia gomei “old mexico” They can’t take a deep freeze

That Texas tortoise was almost certainly removed from its natural range by someone in the past
