Skewers are not recommended. Reed sticks have holes that allow the oils to travel and release into the air.

The Bamboo Skewers don't work well at all. I tried using them with the same recipe but the skewer was too thick for the oil to rise up. I went out and got the rattan sticks and Voila!. It made a big difference.

Nearly screamed when I saw Nature's Garden products mentioned. I live in the UK and been making my own body cream/butters with nature's gardens fragrance oils for years. I also just used it for the reed diffuser, which my sister got me into. I wish they had a branch in the UK, I'll be in the store all the time.

Do you add a base to use their fragrance oils? I have some if their oils but no clue how to use it for a reed diffuser

Do not use bamboo skewers, they are inferior to Rattan, the reason is bamboo has partitions at each joint, whereas Rattan is hollow thru its length, it gives far better distribution of scent. Shalom!

What to do when fragrance will end? Should i add more eteric oil and vodka? Or should i throw-away everything from the bottle and create New one?

Reuse the bottle, make a fresh mixture, you can probably use the same sticks again too. If they don't smell as strong use new sticks.

You can use any oils you like, I prefer a more fruity sent for living areas and a calming lavender or even a fresh scent for bathroom. I have the reed diffusers from Claire de lune right now which do come with bamboo sticks in the scents ocean breeze and peony raspberry vanilla.

Bamboo sticks do work, I have two reed diffusers in my house right now. One in the living room, and one in the bathroom. Both have bamboo sticks and they work marvelous. like she said, when you first put the bamboo sticks in the oils, let them soak for an hour and flip them! It really helps with the fragrance.
