Adam actually learned how to play the drums to become a better vocal percussionist. He majored in trumpet, though, so he already has good breath control.

Love Adam Rupp & his insane talent. He is the best out there in my opinion. He simulates the sounds of a drum perfectly. Many drummers have commented on how good he is. He sounds so realistic. His breath control must be crazy. I heard he makes the sounds both while inhaling & exhaling. This was a few years ago & hard to believe but he is even better now. Adam is the glue that holds Home Free together. He is their secret weapon which other a cappella groups can't match.

At a concert a couple of days ago in Greeneville, TN, he had an eleven minute “drum” solo of so many different sounds. It was amazing. You need to see them live.

Someone pointed out that his vocal range is as wide and crazy as Tim's, because his sounds encompass such deep tones and such clear highs.

I know I'm spamming you a bit now 🤣, but we stunned him once, in Prague in 2018, when we replied back on the "3"-thing almost perfectly. There's a few of his here in Europe that travel to see them when they come to this side of the pond and the guys "know" us. We've never seen him so surprised. (Except perhaps in Oslo 2020 when the guys left him hanging on stage after his solo ended 🤣).

Loved that you saw this one. It’s my favorite. He uses a looper now which is cool but this is so cool and so good. The rest of Home Free calls Adam a “freak of nature” which is true. He might be an alien…hahaha. I’m sure his use of a looper now is to save his voice. When I see this I just realize that you don’t need instruments when you have Adam. Great reaction boys! Adam started as a trumpet player, then became a beat-boxer/vocal percussionist (his preferred term because he creates multiple effects not just the beat), then finally he learned how to play the drums. He learned the drums after this was recorded and after becoming a two time beatboxing national champ. If you want to see Adam after he learns the drums, you need to watch his Michael Jackson inspired drum solos. They are mostly recorded during one of their European tours.

He is the best best boxer. I was at a concert where Adam did Billie Jean the beat boxing, vocals and even moonwalk across the stage.

He can play real drums also, has a bachelor's degree in music, his main instrument is trumpet, but also can play drums, keyboard and bass guitar.

Adam Rupp did teach himself to be proficient in Drumming so he could get the moves correct he is not a trained singer AND yet again he taught himself to sing better he is a Tenor. In older clips live shows Guilty pleasures He taught himself Korean. There is nothing ANY of these guys can't do but Adam Rupp is special in his capacity to learn new things all the time. World Class beatboxer yes but just plane World class.

He Sings in over 7 oktaves and in 14 Languages playes 7 instruments that we know of and are doctoring in music!!! He started music school at 5 years old and told the teatcher that the piano was out of tune!!! He is 28 years young know and comes from Kazakhstan! When he was 22 in 2017 he was invited to compete in a Chines contest called "Singer" against well known and older Chinese artist contestents! No one knew him then. After episode 1 he was know al over China and outher countrys and got the nick name "imported little brother"!!! From episode 4 he was a mega seleberti in China!!! His first song was SOS in french his secound Opera 2 in Russian third in english and forth in Chinese (and he learnt Chinese in less then 1 week)!!! From the moment he got on stage people was saying he looked kinda like "Terry Lin" a well know Chines artist that was called a aline before Dimash was! They kinda have the same base in voice to! After the first line of singing they was so stuned that they dident know how he could sound like that!!! After half the song they just shook there head in dissbelife and just woundering HOW!? They really kept spirits up during quarantine by cranking out a TON of videos they shot and recorded separately and sent off to their team for editing, but their "Quarantine" song really captured the mood of the time hilariously.
