His voice has power and clarity behind it, he really has some good lung capacity and can belt and hold a note. It demands some respect for sure. Haters don't know what a good singer is if they can't feel respect for that performance.

The amount of talent that comes out of each one of those men is astounding. I do know that Austen was classically trained and with good reason, my goodness that voice is ...... there really aren't any words. I do get a little jealous though, I couldn't carry a tune even with a bucket, but I am a rock star in my car like most other humans. Just a little note about yourself, I've given up on all the other reaction hosts I've watched. I know where to get the truth and fairness of the whole game. Thanks so much Michael, you're a real superstar!

Dang Austin just killed it. They can sing anything and find a way to make it real. The live show is unreal. The videos are unreal. What else do they have to do to prove themselves?

Phyllis B yes but I and other people like them as Home Free not Tim and others. It saddens me that the other talented members aren’t getting recognition they deserve. I like Tim don’t get me wrong but it’s getting too much.

Thanks for the great reaction! One of the things you and I have in common with Home Free is we don't look at labels or genres. Home Free focuses on the song and the message, beauty, and spirit of the SONG. Then they have the incredible talent, impeccable musicianship, and sensitivity to carry their audience with them as they share their joy in what they're singing. It's like holding a gem up to the light and finding undiscovered facets. I can't tell you how many times the room I'm in, the chair I'm sitting on, and the screen I'm watching vanishes when I'm transported by their music. Peace and serenity to you.

I saw on another site that Bring Him Home is considered one of the top 10-15 hardest songs to sing. I can't remember the exact ranking. Austin nailed it. Even with the poor recording quality.

Les Miz is my all time favorite theatrical musical. And this song is one of the "show stoppers", always gets a great reaction, and Austin killed it here.

I have seen your videos a few times and have enjoyed them. Today though when I heard you lambasting the haters, I subscribed to you. Being from the era of “if you don’t have anything nice to say then don’t say anything “ still resonates with me. Life is too short to waste on negativity. Thank you for your comments.

This is what Austin trained for. He's taken a lot of lessons to lose his southern drawl. When he joined HF, Tim said, "Um... can we have your southern accent again, buddy?" LOL! He also used to sing with The Voices Of Liberty at Epcot before joining HF too. Amazing!! The power he has in that voice! Wow!! In honor of Kenny Rogers passing this week, can you please do his "Children Go Where I Send Thee ft HF"? It's an incredible, jazzy arrangement that I'm sure you'll love.

I mean I agree Austin did the song justice and is amazingly talented, but that twang was still there. Maybe because i'm not American i'm more sensitive to the accent, but it was very clear an American was singing it.

This one makes me cry every time! And if you listen carefully, there is a time when it sounds as if a child in the audience is overcome with the emotion of the song and begins to weep. Being able to convey the emotion is far more than simply hitting the notes well. Love this!

So beautiful, a lovely song to start with, and so wonderfully sung. Austin's voice is something special, whether he's singing silly pop songs or something challenging and emotional like this - but then the others can keep up with him all the way, it's just sheer talent and musicianship that could do anything, but chose to work in this particular musical genre.

Three things draw me to a music group. 1.Low voices. 2. High voices (male) 3. Great harmonies.... add to it, they do it without musical instruments, and you have a great group called Home Free. I try to listen to all your takes on their songs.... P.S. Have you heard their version of King of the Road? Tim really kills it.

Loved your reaction and your assessment/understanding of the purity of Austin’s and all of the members of HF. I don’t know if there’s a genre of music that they cannot do and do exceptionally well. Thanks for your reaction DramaSyd. I love Broadway music and shows, so I’m pretty familiar with this song. I appreciate Austin’s pure voice and he probably should be performing in Broadway. How fortunate we are to enjoy him and his great personality along with the equally talented members. Their tight harmonies and Adam’s beat boxing are so unique in the business. I agree with you, Austin sang it. 😆

I have the vcr tape that we made for my mom of Les Misérables way back. Found it on the net also not so long back. Austin could have been in that cast. Instead he's entertaining us. Thank goodness! Home Free wouldn't be the same without our young high tenor. I always enjoy this and I'm happy you did also. Thank you! ^_^

Truly beautiful. There is another group called Vocal Spectrum that also covers this song I think you would be blown away by them. One of their best songs is I Can Go The Distance.
