For Tim's 40th Birthday party this year he and his wife and and friend Chris Chatam sang it.

The guy with the hat is Adam's brother Chris Rupp. The 2 of them started the group around 2001. Yes, they asked Austin to Joy the group after seeing him perform on a cruise ship. Chris left the band around 2015 to do more solo stuff and spend more time with his wife and new baby. Adam Chance joined the group a couple after Chris left.

Tim has the perfect ''Big Bad Wolf'' voice. And, he has a 5 octave range, and is trying to get 6 octaves.

You better start recognizing Chris Rupp, the brother of the beatboxer. Why? Without Chris there would be no Home Free. He came with the idea and dragged in his brother and a friend to start it all! Btw, this was his last performance with Home Free. And yes, over the years the members changed: Rob joined in '09, then Tim joined and not too long for the Sing Off Austin joined. Chris left in May 16 and got replaced by Chance. So by now, Adam is the only starting member in Home Free

There was a story behind this! The in jokes between Tim and Chris! I'll tell it, and I hope you see it!! So, the night before this show, it was Chris's last full concert with the group before he left. During the concert, Tim told the story of when the group was protested against by Westboro Baptist Church - the ones who stand outside and shout "death to f*gs". Tim was happy, because "we know we've made it now!!" And he said "for the record, Home Free don't care who you love." - it was a really sweet pro-LGBTQ+ moment. At the end of the show, everyone talked about Chris leaving. Everyone was sad, but Tim got really emotional... He did a speech, and was getting teary, and then he said "hey... This is for the Westboro Baptist Church.", walked up to Chris and full on kissed him, to raucous cheers!! The next day, everyone was making jokes that Tim was flirting with Chris, which is why he sang "you're safe to walk with me alone... Chris." And "you wore red on purpose" haha!! It was hilarious.

This is my first time to see this video. I laughed hard when Austin said at least he wasn't the only one to forget the lines. I've seen a few videos when he did forget. Since I didn't know the words of the song, I didn't realize hee was winging it until I saw the others trying so hard not to laugh.

Yes this was a private party in MN for Patreon subscribers. It was Chris' last shows with the group before Chance took over and they wanted to send him off with a bang. There were 3 public shows and this private one. As for forgetting the words....there might have been an abundance of alcohol that night. You have to react to Colder Weather, Colder memory lapse. :-)

This concert was right after the last concert with Chris Rupp, Adam’s brother. I saw Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs perform this song. They opened for the Dave Clark Five. (Yes, I'm old.) This was quite different from the original. But, as always, Home Free made it their own & did a great job.

The only original band member is Adam Rupp at the moment. Chris and Adam started the band and from the current members next to join was Rob and after that Tim, Austin and Chance (after Chris left).

Chris Rupp came before Chance. Chris Rupp and Adam Rupp were the founders of the group.

Chris Rupp and Adam Rupp started the group, with 2 or 3 other bandmembers who left over time and got replaced. Rob joined in 2008, Tim in 2010 and Austin in 2012 if I'm not mistaken. Then Adam Chance joined the group in 2016 to replace Chris Rupp. Adam is the only original member left.

At the 11:00 minute mark (that you stopped for), I think that Adam was replicating the 45 rpm record with that sound and the circular motion he made. I had that song on a 45 and those records always had that crackle sound back then, especially if you listened to the song over and over!

Yes, Austin had as own career going when he met Home Free. Austin majored in musical theater while in college, he traveled around during the summer months with his dad singing in a southern gospel quartet (the man has soul in the blood). Austin's career as a vocalist & entertainer led to him working on Royal Caribbean cruises ships as a featured singer in their production shows. Home Free was performing on the cruise ship when he heard them for the first time. He let the guys know that he would be interested in joining the group whenever they ever had an opening. Austin wish and dream came true in 2012 when Matt Atwood decided to leave the group to be with his family full time. The Patreon Party is on youtube if you ever want to watch in your free time as it's over an hour long show (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bt-Pkr1415a7fps.html). If you notice they all were a little tipsy during this show as the audience was constantly providing them with fluids.

There were several member changes since the start, but Rob was with them first, then Tim was a temporary fill-in for bass but he ended up staying, then They went on a cruise ship as guest entertainers and Austin was a member of the in house talent on the ship and that's where they met, they still had a tenor then but when he left (family life) they called Austin, then Chris (Adam the beatboxer's brother) left to do a solo career in 2016 and Chance came into the group.

I can't remember the song but I think it was at this event where they told Tim he doesn't suppose to sing high that was their job. He supposed to sing low. Well I made the mistake of not using my sound system but rather the TV speaker. Tim BUSTED it. He also blew the speaker on stage.

Tim Foust has custom made sub boxes to withstand what he can output. I've seen them in concert. All of the group are are awesome

Here we go. Chris Rupp was the original founder of the group along with his brother Adam the beat boxer around 2000. There were others who came and went. Robb joined around 2008. Tim around 2010. After the group met Austin on a cruise ship in 2012 he joined the group replacing one who left in 2013. They won the sing off show in 2013 and the rest is history.

You can literally find whole concert videos of Home Free. If you think the videos are phenomenal, seeing them live is infinitely more better! You can even find other videos of them screwing up the songs and they are still entertaining! What's even more entertaining is watching male reactors try to reach Tim's low notes and not quite get there🤣
