Home Free is the vocal group, home fries are the fans, and Avi was making a “ guest appearance “. Home Free is my favorite acapella group. 🙂. There are just 5 guys in the group, one left since the Sing Off ( Chris Rupp , the guy in the cowboy hat ) then Adam Chance( Chance) took his place. The acapella world is full of collaborators which is a beautiful thing! If you want to attach the names to the faces, Working For A Living introduces them all in the beginning.

This song is done in a country reggae beat. It showcases the higher & lower ranges of both Tim Foust & Avi Kaplan. That last note of Tim is impressive with how low he goes, but more impressive is how long he sustains the note. On the "Sing Off Show" that Home Free won in 2013 Tim goes even lower on this song "Ring Of Fire" & he impressed the judges so much that they gave them a standing ovation. And Adam Rupp once again was stellar in his vocal percussion.

Avi is a good friend of Tim Foust. Avi has a cameo in another funny video. A bit later Avi had to leave Pentatonix, because his mother was seriosly ill and the pressure of world tours and that form of live, so he said, was not good to his mental and bodily health. I have to say, you have the best screen setup of any reaction channel I have ever seen. A very clear picture and good screens showing your reactions. Tim Foust is the bass for Home Free. Avi Kaplan left Pentatonix to go solo. This was a one time collaboration, but they are good friends. Home Fries are the fans of Home Free. Avi Kaplan left PTX in 2017. This recorded while he was still with them. Since then he has carved out a successful solo career. He is a gifted singer songwriter - please check out his work. Most people start with 'Change on the Rise'. PS, Although Home Free were in the Sing Off, they were two years after Pentatonix.

Avi Kaplan and the greatest bass out there (in my opinion) was with Pentatonix for 6 years and left the group in 2017. He is a solo artist now, mostly singing Americana, Folk, light country and Western. He tours Europe every other year which he will be there next year. He is a trained classical basso profundo but is not interested in singing opera. Along with his fabulous voice, he is also a wonderful songwriter. Here is something from his album from 2022. You do know that 19000 of your subscribers are here for Vivi don’t you. (Just kidding) Home Fries are Home Free fans. Kinda like Pentaholix for PTX. The bass for HF is Tim Foust, Avi did a guest appearance on this song. he left PTX for his solo career in late 2016, and nearly a year later Matt joined in 2017. One of HF members left as well, I think it was the Baritone/bass. His brother Adam (beatbox) is still with the band.
