Chance wrote this song Ubisoft came to them and asked him to write a song. This was kept quiet for a year. When this was inroduced Home Free did it live. Chance is playing the guitar and Austin plays the Mandolin You need to do their Sea Shanty medley you will love it too

Chance wrote it. Chance played the acoustical guitar and Austin played the mandolin. Chance was lead with his bass voice and Tim was down in the sub-basement on bass. Adam was doing out-of-this-world vocal percussion. Adam was also singing in the background Skull And Bones while beat boxing. I was looking forward to y'all reacting to this; you didn't disappoint. It has blown quite a few fans and reactors out of the water! (Pun intended)

Skull And Bones is multiplayer and was meant to be an expansion of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag but then got to independent title. Chance wrote this and took lead.He’s huge into everything about the sea and shanties Chance was playing guitar Austin was playing mandolin and Adam with his amazing beatboxing. They sang live at Ubisoft Live Premiere

How freaking cool is it that Home Free got to do the music for a video game? Chance did an awesome job of writing it and the performance is sick! Between Chance and Tim's voices it about knocks the fillings out of your teeth (in a good way). Rob and Austin back there singing the hell out of it sounds so good. Adam's vocal percussion/beat boxing is just nuts. He has brought back his ocean wave sounds, his castanets (or maybe they are bones rattling together) and I hear cannon fire. I never in a million years thought I'd get so excited for a pirate song, but here I am loving this like crazy. I'm not even a gamer, but this makes me wish I were. Chance and Adam being huge gamers, can you imagine how stoked they were to do this? Home Free has been sizzling hot for the past few months more than usual. They have leveled up! Great reaction, as usual. Thanks.

Totally epic!!!! The incredible amount of material they have released over the last 4 years plus is totally increditble!!!! Don't know any other band of any genre that has released this much material and at the qualtiy level they keep presenting. So impressed with Home Free!!!! I finally get to give you info that would have been a spoiler. Chance wrote it Adam Rupp is Overtone singing then beatboxing and then the Chants ! Austin played Mandolin and Chance his guitar, Rob and Austin both sang in their lower tenor. OMG so Much Good Stuff ! Chance is the Ending Laugh! Can Not wait for you to find stuff I haven't in the live and I've been collecting the info from Fries smarter than me . With my headphones down I know you'll hear some stuff I haven't Educate me boys ! I'm not a gamer and already have it preordered at game stop and am on the hunt for a PS5 used I hope. I have a PS2 Fat that is still original and working. I Love this dang song and you will love the from Lockdown Sea Shanty Medley AND That thing went viral on many levels including an Asian Dance Challenge .

Home Free is so talented. They can do any genre of music. That was so much fun to listen to. Chance loves sea shanties & he wrote this song for the game "Skull & Bones". His deeper voice sounded great for this song. And of course all the background harmonies of the guys including Adam's fabulous vocal percussion. I'm not a gamer but I love this. There is also a shorter live version of this song which sounds great!

It’s so good. Chance wrote a beauty. He’s really into shanties and wrote this for the game. How cool is that?! There’s another song they performed for the Ubisoft crowd but it’s shorter. You can really hear Tim go insanely low. Love it. Great reactions guys!😍 The sea shanty medley was done a couple of years ago during the pandemic. It became a hit. Not sure if Ubisoft was aware of that and approached Chance or not. Pretty cool though.

I have seen the live...the sub harmonic is Tim doing his thing. Chance did a great job with this and I am so proud of the guys and so happy for them. This has opened a lot of doors for them and introduced a lot of new people to the talent that is Home Free.

Even though the live version is shorter, I like it better. The vocals are less produced, and Opera Rob and Austin are more noticeable. It feels more like the crew is having a rowdy time in a tavern.

I’m “old school” RPG: little people with big heads!! Suikoden Series; Breath of Fire Series; Lunar Series; Wild Arms Series; Grandia Series; Mission Thunderbolt!!! Overhead view, pick up and throw a chicken or hay bale and it might “poof” into more energy or a weapon you could use or sell. Have a decent thief in your party, keep your game in search mode and you might find treasure or have a challenging but winnable battle with good rewards. Find and recruit all available characters and get a reward when you progress to the next game in the series. I’m 54 years old and still have them all. Kept a Macintosh Performa 600 just to be able to play Mission Thunderbolt…had to replace the monitor with special adapter cords, since there was no such thing as HDMI back in the day!!!!

@@melikka808 Nope. He's beatboxing in time to the words, but if you look at his neck / throat and not his mouth, you'll see the muscles are taut -- a clear sign he's beatboxing and not singing. It's Rob singing in his lower register using his resonant opera voice.

@@kellywilliams364 That laugh is the absolute bottom note or a tone below it of Chance's known range (ie the range he uses professionally). He can undoubtedly sing / say that note, but it won't have the warmth and timbre you hear here. That's a basso profundo delivering that laugh -- ie, Tim.

What a fantastic song this is. I see images of the old days where the pirates all sang together on their ship. So incredible performance. This is so very cool! A totally different sound but again so great. I would like Chance to write more often for Home Free. Home Free can just sing anything. Chance with his perfect low voice for this, Tim Foust's slightly lower voice that goes so well with Chance's. Adam Rupp who also contributes to the bass, but also shows the undisputed beatboxer / vocal percussionist / vocal artist. Austin Brown who also plays a musical part but then gets into it vocally with his powerful voice. And then Rob Lundquist who clearly shows his rich opera voice here. And then that harmony that sounds so beautiful.

While under NDA I can't give too many details but for those interested in the game : Skull in Bones is an upcoming Ubisoft title due for release pretty soon infact. It's an open world RPGMMO with open PVP elements ( I think it's open) You form a group of up to 3 ships ranging from sloop with 2 cannons to a full Man'o'War with 16 cannons. -- Any further details are fringing on NDA and I'm not sure how close I can get. The graphics in the music video is not in game graphics, however they are decent.. mush better looking than say Sea of Thieves. I can't go into gameplay aspects but there is what you would expect from an open world game with questing and ship building. and costumes .. the outfits looked good, I'll be playing it.. "Sea .. ha see what I did there.. See ye on the waves ya landlubbers"

All I know about the game is that it is titled Skull and Bones and it was made by Ubisoft. Apparently Ubisoft called Home Free for this after somebody over there saw the Sea Shanty Medley. That's it from me. I WISH I knew more... Can't wait for this to drop, I wanna see it!

Not a gamer, never will be, but this song is awesome. Recommend checking out HF's live performance of this. Not the full song but Tim and Chance's rumbling double bass, at the start, seeing Adam layer in the 'Skull and Bones' chant with his percussion and Rob's rich operatic vocals all combine to show the power and energy of the piece. Even the way Chance stomps up to the mic. Definitely a new venture for the guys. Within less than 48 hours of its premiere, they'd garnered well over 100K views. Crazy. Hopefully this affords them many new and well-deserved opportunities....and fans!

5:15 Since everyone else has the song facts covered, I thought I'd talk about the game; Yeah, from what I understand, it's got the open world/multiplayer aspect of Sea of Thieves, but it's more akin to Assassin's Creed: Black Flag, and basically takes the naval combat of that game and expands on it. You start out as an outcast from society, and make your way up the Piracy ladder, building a crew, expanding and upgrading your ship, adding new weapons and hull reinforcements, until eventually you're a full fledged Dread Pirate. If I remember correctly, unlike Sea of Thieves, most (if not, all) the combat is naval combat. I think the best way to describe the differences between SoT and S&B is that Sea of Thieves is centered around your Pirate, and Skull and Bones is centered around the Ship and Crew.

The Skull and Bones release date window is currently 2023 to 2024 on PS5, Xbox, and PC, according to recent Ubisoft financial targets, although we believe that the game is more likely to arrive in early 2024. There is, however, a Skull and Bones closed beta from August 25 to August 28, 2023.

The Sargasso Sea is a sea in the Atlantic Ocean which has no land bordering it. It's a part of the ocean formed by the ocean currents that has it's own bio identity. It has some organisms that don't exist anywhere else in the world. I may be wrong, but the 7 seas are distinguished by their unique temperatures, biology within them, depth etc. If I'm wrong, someone will correct me.

This is not HOME Frees' official video. This is the game makers version. Home Free kept rights to do own thing with it. Game release mid Feb. Other Home Free version, not live, is way better.

I saw some earlier game footage, and this captain is not only a different actor, but the old one his face was much less expressive. I'm almost certain you're right about putting on the finishing touches. 73% water, not all ocean. Traditionally, seven seas. But yeah, you can sail around the world without having to make port if you don't account for provisioning.

The live version is IMHO a lot better. This version sounds rather over-produced eg the tenors are multi-tracked until it sounds as if there are about 5000 singers and the brilliant contribution of Rob and Austin gets drowned in the noise. I know nothing about gaming but I do know about pirates. Crews of pirate ships were on the small side to avoid having to share out stolen goods between too many. All the explosions in the video are silly - you wouldn't try to sink a ship you're trying to board and rob. Cannon would also need more personnel and invite retaliation from the other ship. Pirates aren't romantic characters but were (and still are) the terror of honest sailors. They weren't motivated by wanting freedom, but by wanting other people's money. Many were already wanted criminals when they joined a pirate crew. Pirates didn't take captives and would usually murder the crew of the ship they had boarded, since piracy (including being the merest member of a pirate crew) was punishable by death anyway. Hundreds were rounded up and hung in major operations to keep the seaways clear. Not a particularly good life!
