Thank you for your reaction. Austin did a fabulous job of this classic song. Loved Percy Sledge's version, but this was taken to another level. And remember this was done during quarantine, so the guys weren't even together. The backing harmonies are great, along with Tim's bass. And Adam's vocal percussion is outstanding. This is why these guys are my favorite a cappella group.

Yeah. Austin has that incredible gift of the ability to put so much emotion in his voice. He can make the listener feel exactly what he wants them to feel. That's an even greater gift for a singer than his absolutely perfect vocal ability!

Yes, this was produced during the lockdown. They are all in different locations. Everyone says the same thing, don't stop, don't be over. You should watch all their performances from The Sing Off. Tim Foust sings lead for Ring of Fire, and you can see his five-octave range. My favorite is Pretty Woman with Austin in the lead. One of their latest releases is Austin in the lead singing Patsy Cline's "Crazy".

This was one of many videos Home Free did separate from each other during quarantine, usually in and around their homes in 3 different states and sent to their producers computer for Darren to fit together beautifully. Although, since Austin is in a studio, the others might be in studios also. Don't know. And his flirty looks at the camera (us)? His lovely lady Amberly is the only one in the room besides the cameraman, standing by the camera. I know I can't be the first to recommend this, but I think you will really love Austin's new video for Bring Him Home from Les Miz. His musical theatre background really shines here.

It's always great to see a reaction and analysis breakdown video from a professional such as yourself, Jenn. I think that the Ruppster doesn't get enough love in these reactions because people overlook the percussion for the voice and harmonies, sort of not seeing the forest through the trees. Not that I think that it's done on purpose, but just the opposite, I think that he becomes the glue and antisapation that these performances build on.

Home Free was not/ nor they considered a ' county band'. For the first decade, the band consistently of Minnesotians. Only when Tim joined (Texas-2012), Austin (Georgia-2013) and Chance ( Alabama- 2016) did they have some Southern influence. They auditioned for the TV show "The Sing Off" four times. Only making the cut in 2014 when the show producers wanted a county a Cappella group. Hence they slanted towards county. But they sing ALL genres and enhance/upgrade the songs.

You're right that this was recorded in quarantine, with only Austin in the studio and all the other guys at home. The producer who made this happen, Darren Rust, did a fantastic job. The other guys really add to the mood by delivering such a blissed out back up. A song featuring Austin which I'm fond of is the Travis Tritt cover "It's a Great Day ". It 's often ignored but shows Austin delivering what is actually quite an emotionally complex song with swagger and the feeling he brings to everything. (The producer and the videographer seem to have developed a crush on Austin, judging by the number of 'portrait' shots).
