You guys must’ve missed that viral video of UPS drivers loading and unloading their trucks by throwing all of the boxes from the truck to the ground and vice versa… They were too lazy too carry and stack them properly😂

HeatPumps have 300 to 400% heat- efficency. Bitcoin miners around 100%. So for the same heat you need 4x more energy. Doubt if it produces enough btc to cover people's heating costs go up 4x.

... or even enough to cover its own electricity costs - at least for those of us paying normal prices. Yeah, it bugs me a little when those discussing this topic always seem to ignore the existence of heat pump technology. But, in situations where you would otherwise be using a conventional space heater, this could make some sense - that is, if you ignore the increased upfront cost of purchasing a miner compared to a very inexpensive conventional space heater.

It is actually super efficient since it's using 5nm I believe Samsung chips and last time I checked a couple months ago it was pretty decent actually. Obviously it's not a miner that will make you rich but $1/day while burning 350ish watts would put your average American in the positive plus free heat. That's this new version the older one is still good but only if you're heating your space anyway so might as well be mining. My $0.02

@@RichardAristarchovas - I don't question its efficiency at all; but, the break-even point for earning $1/day at 350 watts is about $0.12/kWh. That doesn't put the average American who's paying closer to $0.17/kWh in the positive. But, like I said, if you would otherwise run a space heater at the same watts anyway; then the miner gives you the sats for free... except that the miner will run you about $780 more than the $20 space heater you could have bought. That's a lot of $1/day days needed to make up the difference.

@@cameronlockard5935 sure if taking dry statistical average it's probably $0.17kwh but I'll go an a limb and say excluding ridiculous New York city and LA / Bay area power prices the average normal American electric price is well in that $0.12/kwh. And I probably don't need to mention that there's nothing forcing anyone to sell the earnings right away so there's even more upside potential down the road :). In any case you can probably tell I'm a fan and I'll take any free Bitcoin any time anywhere :))))
