HOME MADE MANG INASAL RECIPE | FILIPINO BBQ

Mang Inasal is a famous Filipino restaurant known for its authentic Filipino taste barbeques. This recipe is inspired by mang inasal but homemade! I tried making this quite a while now and I finally able to adjust the perfect taste I wanted. Learning this recipe i tried different online recipes. There was alot of failure, but I am happy to share this video with you especially to those who are far from home (like me) who misses the taste of mang inasal. I hope you will find this video useful.

Here is the measurements!!!
Chicken
Soy sauce - ½ cup
Lemongrass (tanglad) - 1/2 cup
Medium size onion - chopped
garlic - 2tbs minced
1 thumb ginger
Water - 1 cup
Brown sugar - 1/8 cup
Salt - 1 tablespoon
black pepper- 1 tsp
vinegar - ¼ cup
5 kalamansi or 1 lemon- Squeezed
ANATO OIL
Chicken Fats
Anato (Achuete) Seeds/powder - 2 tsp
Vegetable/ olive Oil - 1/8 cup

@@st.lawrence_pupil I tried gai yang and it's the best!!! I think Mang Inasal (Bacolod, Philippines style) is more fragrant due to lemon grass while Gai Yang (Thai) is more tasty from its marinade. 😊

This is my fave when I vacation in the Philippines a few years ago. I really wanted to make this that I drove to my dad's place and got me some lemongrass, he grows them lol

Sa chicken oil nagtatrabaho ako date sa mang inasal star margarine at atsuete lang yung hinahalo namin date. Mag masarap yung inyong version kasi natural na chicken fats naiirender . More power :)

Thanks for sharing this recipe.i'm marinating my chicken now.but instead of water im using soda😊it adds more tastes to the chicken and it will helps more to absorb well the marinade.I also add lemon😊😊😊
