These Delicious treats are exactly what you need in your life! They are easy to make, much cheaper than the pre packaged RX- Bars and they taste fabulous! These bars are loaded with protein, fibre and nutrients. They are the perfect addition to your lunch box or afternoon snack. Here is the recipe below.
First off here are the ingredients:
Fresh dates - 2 cups or 16 oz
Salted or unsalted Cashews - 1 cup or 8 oz
Roasted Almonds - 1 cup or 8 oz
Coconut - 1/2 cup or 4 oz
Egg whites - 1 & 1/2 cup or 12 oz
Cocoa - 2 Tablespoons or 1 oz
Chocolate Chunk - 1/4 cup or 2 oz
Salt -1/2 teaspoon

1) To start out take your cashews and grind them down into a powder, chop you almonds into 1/6 size pieces and remove the pits from the dates.
2) Once you have you have these ingredients prepared get your blender ready. Measure out you egg whites and pour them into the blender and also add the pitted dates. Blend everything until fully mixed. (You may have to shut your blender down and and mix the contents with a spoon to make sure they are properly mixed - you may have to do this several times).
3) Once fully mixed now we are going to add in our cashew powder and blend this down. (If your blender is having a hard time with this you may want to transfer your mixture into a large bowl and use a hand mixer or even a spatula to mix the ingredients.)
4) Once were all mixed now we want to add in our chopped almonds, cocoa and chocolate chunks.
5) Once everything is mixed very well we are going to evenly add our salt to the mixture. When adding the salt evenly disperse the salt over the other ingredients and then mix in well.
6)Pre heat your oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.
7) Now we are going to prepare our pan. Use vegetable oil or butter and lightly and evenly coat the pan. We always use parchment paper to line the bottom so we have no problems getting the bars out.
8) Pour or scoop your mixture in to the pan and evenly spread.
9) Now place your pan in the fully pre heated oven on the middle rack.
10) Cooking is approximately 15-20 Depending on your oven. Check the bars after 15 minutes with the fork check. ( T=Stick the fork teeth into the cake and remove - if the fork is relatively clean when you remove it they are done - if more mixture sticks to the fork put them in for another 3-5 minutes.
11) Remove your bars and let they cool fo roughly 10 minutes.
12) Slide them out of the pan, slice them into your desired sizes and enjoy. (These bars are perfect for bagging or wrapping individually for lunch treats and snacks.
