This is the process of preparing virgin coconut oil at home. Even though it has some processes, we feel it is worth, as we get a pure coconut oil. Firstly we grate the coconut and extract it's milk. Then the water content in the milk must be separated, as we need to cook it. So only the cream is cooked by separating it from water. A plastic cover is used to hang the milk overnight for this purpose. The the concentrated cream which contains oil is cooked for some time. Finally we get the oil and strain it, store in a clean jar. We can decide the oil making process is complete - when we feel a good smell, when the dust becomes dark brown and the size of bubbles become small.
