The Home mark sewing machine in this video is a straight-stitch, class 15 machine, also called a clone, as it's patterned after Singer's class 15 machines.
This video will show you how to thread the machine, how to wind the bobbin, how to drop the feed for darning or machine embroidery, how to set the stitch length, how to adjust the tension, and how to adjust the sewing foot pressure on the material.

I want you to know how much I truly appreciate you taking the time to make this video, you answered a question that I've yet to figure out else where. Thank you so much! I have 2 of these clones, I have the kingston all fixed and ready to go and was recently given a morse which I plan on fixing and rewiring. I absolutely love my clones and would much rather sew on my kingston over my newer sewing machines🙂

Thank you for helping me figure out how to thread it. Unfortunately everytime try to see the thread immediately breaks, and the bobbin assembly pops loose. I guess I'll just have to keep working on it or take it somewhere locally to have it looked at.

Is the foot pressure knob on top more pressure as it goes down and lighter pressure up? You didn't say...just that it should be 1/3 for your piece there.

I just watched your video from 7 years ago regarding the singer touch and sew 600. I've been using my Kenmore 30 for the past couple decades and decided to pull out my singer 640. It worked perfectly for about 5 minutes and then all of a sudden, the needle thread won't go around the bobbin casing. (To loop the threads together). So the needle punctures the fabric, but because its not grabbing the bobbin thread, its not actually sewing. Any suggestions on how I can rectify this myself, or should I take it to a professional?
