I am so sorry you had so little time to be with the love of your life. I know of your loss and the love you have for him. My husband passed away 16 months ago after 47 years of marriage and two children . I still love and miss him so very much. Bedtime is the worst time as I look at his side of our bed and see that he is not there, but I know that I will be in his heart forever. May our men forever RIP

When my husband passed away in 2015 a friend sent me a recording of this Gentri song. I cried all the way through it and still do every time I listen to it. Later Gentri performed in my town at the Peach Days celebration. At the performance my name was picked to receive one of their CDs. It had "home" on it along with many other beautiful songs. "Home" is still my favorite and I cherish the album! Thank you Gents for your beautiful music! And thank you for returning to Brigham City's Peach Days this evening to perform more beautiful music!

You did it again, I’m a puddle! My dear father-in-law just passed away from Covid less then 24 hours ago, the 5th family member gone because of it, in the last 6 months….feels like my heart will never mend, as I desperately try to comfort my spouse and mother-in-law…then this came up in my play list….Devine intervention, your words bringing me peace, reminding me we all are reunited in the end, that death isn’t an ending, but a doorway to the next stage of existence. A doorway we must all pass through, and at the moment, one I wish I could pass through right now. This is more painful then any physical pain, I’ve had cancer 4 times, 37 surgeries, removing 95% of my entire GI tract….this is more painful. Thanks guys, for easing that pain, and reminding me of the one lesson that matters most, love is eternal, not even death can stop it. My deepest love and respects to you all xo😰😰😰😰😰😰

Although the roles were reversed, this stunningly beautiful video takes me through the 53 wonderful years I had with my wife Cheryl, my soul mate, my best friend. I love the joy the young woman in the video expresses during their early years. I understand the sorrow she expresses in her remembrances of him because I have felt much of that in the 20 months since my beloved Cheryl passed away. Thanks, Gentri and the videography team for putting together a video that so beautifully encapsulates what I have been feeling.

I'd heard this song but first time seeing the video. Reminds me that I will see and be witn my darling husband someday again...and forever. We were married 32 years. He's been gone 12 1/2 years. Passed away too young, too soon. I miss him so much. I love your music. I've seen you in concert 3 times plus in Les Miserables. It took a long time not to be bitter and all destroyed from grief, pain and loss. Thank you for the beautiful music and video.

Oh how this song and video hit me ! Crying through it while watching and listening to every word. This is my story, except my Husband passed at only 55. That was 11 years ago. Still feels like yesterday at times 😪. Other days it feels like forever ago since he touched my face and kissed my lips. But, I know I will see him again !! Heaven awaits... just not yet ! I miss you my love !!

When I was deployed I found myself desperately trying to find comfort in something. I started listening to music that was peaceful on Pandora and Gentri came up. It spoke straight to my soul. I was deployed twice to Afghanistan. We had a Soldier get seriously wounded and had a friend die. I missed important events at home and my family had a tough time too. My daughter was 22 days old when I left. At times it was very hard but Gentri was always there with their music. Incredibly peaceful with powerful and calming voices. Now, I'm listening to them again as I cry through the fall of Afghanistan. Thanks Gentri for always being there.

It is remembering me of my grandparents who died together in 2002, a few month after their 50th anniversary. It was when my grandpa wish if God's will, they could died together. Even in tragic even, God make that wish happened.

I agree Mr.Larson, this video is awesome and it takes me through the 27 years I had with my husband, Joe! He was all the same as Mr. Larson said about his beloved Cheryl! If my husband had to go at least The Lord took him home only days before the world turned upside down and life is not the same. This video brings tears to my eyes...every time. My grandmother passed away this past february....it tore my grandfather apart. But I know he's still hurting inside. He tells stories of how they met, their love, their adventures together. Both he and I know she's up there waiting for him. I know he's counting the days until he can be with her again. This song means everything to me right now.

I hear you too... i have only my dad left, no other family, only child, am alone as he is in nursing home which is under lock down. I wont say how many tears i have shed, as i fear what if he dies n i am not there. But yes, I too, have a big loving Dad up in Heaven. Without Him, i would be lost.

It has been over two years now since my father passed away. I still have a very hard time watching this video as I think about what a bitter sweet reunion it will be when my mom passes away and leaves us kids to go and be with my dad again...he wasn't a sailor so she may be stuck getting picked up, on the other side, in a tractor or an old pickup!

I tripped over this while browsing - and it nearly killed me! My beautiful lady passed 21 months ago and this brought it all back. We make ourselves get over the loss of a loved one do we can function but every so often you get ambushed by something like this. I lost my sweetheart 4 years ago and I felt like he spoke to me through this song. He died too young at 58 years of age. I cry every time I hear this song because I look forward to the day when I can see him where the stars meet the sea. (He gave me a heart necklace just like the one in the video too.) This is but a moment that we are apart.

Same for me. I had been listening to Mathew west singing the truth be told (beautiful song) and when that finished the song from that group was called..don't let go. I listened to it and watched the video and cried all the way through it 😭. I believe there's a reason why some things are sent to us. The songs I've listened to by Mathew West.(.and I don't know how I came across him either) are beautiful too 😍. Another song by Mathew is called my name is.

My father passed away when I was very young. Then I lost my dear friend when we were 16 years old. This video and the song made me remember them. And yes, I cried listening to it.

Mein Englisch ist nicht gut genug, um meine Begeisterung für Eure Musik auszudrücken. Bei den Videoclips bin ich jedesmal zu Tränen gerührt. Ihr singt nicht einfach, Ihr seid mit Herz und Seele dabei und das spürt der Zuhörer. Da ist so viel Liebe und Harmonie. So viel Botschaft bezüglich Liebe, Respekt und Umgang miteinander. Wow, this year 2020 marks 50 years since my father died, May 28, 1970 and 20 years since my mother died, on his birthday, November 14, 2000, by the look on her face when I went to dress her body I knew it was my father, her husband who came and took her "home!" She waited over 30 years to see him again. She never knew the gospel nor had any hope, but I did, it was I that gave her permission to go, I asked my father to come and get her, sorry to say this, but I'm tired of being alone, zero family/life, I hope it will be my turn soon, then I will see my father after 50 years.

Justelle's Life It’s been 50 years since my mother died and 24 years since my father died. They didn’t have the Gospel either and no hope of seeing each other again. I know that they have now been taught and accepted the Gospel. What a beautiful plan our Father has organized and implemented for the salvation of all his children. I know I will be with them again and that thought gives me immense comfort.

This is a beautiful story I lost my dad 20 years ago and I lost my daughter at age 16 2 years ago I'd love to be friends as in grief we become family with the love for our loved ones in on a page I made for my daughter its Facebook page Chelsea Hogg she's my hero and my dad and her my Angel's please add me I'd so much like that very much sending you love 🙏💕❤💯

She did not know how to nurture or love someone else, then she became an alcoholic, which made the abuse towards me more intense, I cannot begin to tell you what this did to me, how it's a struggle just to get through a day. She would spit on me, sometimes with food, she'd kick me, flip me off, hit me, taunt me, just to name a few. I never learned what love is nor did I know how to get away from it. To this day, what I would give to have a home to go to, to be unconditionally love, is a foreign concept. Then in Feb 2019, out of the blue, she showed up to be with me. Her presence is very strong. I believe that the Savior sent her and is part of her repentance, this is the beauty and the heart of our Heavenly Father, He loves us all, the broken, those that came from abusive homes, the discarded and the broken, which I feel on a daily basis, our Savior not only took upon himself our wrong doings but our inability to love or feel love, actions that are forced upon us by others which cripples our ability to be taught love and give love. I hope you don't mind my message being this long, I always end up writing a "book" instead of a short message. If you need a friend I'm here. I hope you are doing well and am safe. May our Father in Heaven wrap His arms around you and hold you in the palms of His hands!

I'm praying for you all, brothers and sisters in our Lord's family. This song wrecks me, every single time, but in a beautiful way. I lost my Dad 25 years ago, my Mom 10, and while I know they loved me, they never knew me. My family was ruined by my older sister's mental illness. I never married, and at 62, well, I'm not in good health and not looking. I feel lonely sometimes, because there's nobody waiting where the stars meet the sea. Nobody waiting for me. Nobody but Jesus :-) He showed me Himself once, and hugged me, and said in this voice so full of love, "Am I not enough for you?" And He is :-) He's enough for all of us, and I know all the problems will be solved in Heaven, there will be no bad/sad things, it will all be gratitude and love for our Lord and Savior...So when I see the letter and the husband waiting for his wife, I see Jesus' hand reaching out, and that's beautiful too. Think of it--He's been with us since before we ever were, and all the time that we have been here. He's enough, more than enough, for me. Gentri, this is such a beautiful song, it's for everyone who is waiting to hear Jesus' call, or a loved one in our life. Heavenly happiness is waiting for all of us.
