Architect here, i just want to add, for toilets you should also check if the floor is sloping down to the drain so that there will be no ponding on certain areas, you can do this by running the water on the floor and check how the water drains on its own. Also to add, Engr. based on personal experience. Check nyo if may dumadaan na pipe sa septic other than yung galing sa water closet. dapat yung sa water closet lng yung daan sa septic para hindi mapuno agad. also dapat ndi binabaha yun septic very basic pro minsan kase ndi napapansin kaya nadadaya hehe. water proofing din po very important sa mga canopies above window and sa roof ofcourse. at eto pa pala. sa simula palang dapat ina-anticipate nyo na kung gano kataas dapat yung floorlevel ng bahay nyo, kung ndi ba aabutin ng baha. very important to na dapat masiguro nyo lalo na pag nasa layouting period na kayo ng bahay nyo, kase mahirap mag adjust ng floorlevel ng bahay lalo na kung very late nyo na marealize. yun lng po magandang gabi sa lahat. Salamat sa infos, Engr! salute sa pag effort hehe

during concreting phase , check if the contractor follows the structural schedule / details (number of rebars & sizes) for beams slab columns etc and the methodology behind it, this is where they usually make "daya" because rebars are one of the most expensive components in a building, if you cant understand the engineering plans make sure to ask your civil designer / architect to visit the site. if these details are not met the longevity of the house is compromised because problems in structural stability will only take effect maybe years or even a decade to occur which is way after the contractors warranty / retention, Great vid btw kudos

Huhu this final "inspection" didn't happen when our house was built. Our Engr passed away due to cancer mid-way during the construction and the foreman took over. 2 years later we're all seeing the effects of the "finished house" without proper guidance. We have unfinished cement gutters, leaks, and walls that didn't undergo sanding- natanggal and nag bubble ang paint 😭 Dagdag gastos for repair huhu

Building a Swimming pool: construction, needs, things to consider, requirements, price etc. PLEASE

Hi Slater. Suggest to add in the list the DRAIN of the FLOOR in CR. It is my current problem now. I had a 60 x 60 tiles installed in my CR but then one tile is not in correct slope hence all the water accumulates there. I have to do squeegee every time I use it for the water not to accumulate. So much hassle. My contractor said it's hard to do the slope coz I used 60 × 60 large tiles and it was not centered. Replacing it now is too costly so I just opt for the hassle of squeegeeing it after every use.
