Froggy...I just experienced the EZ mender into concrete around the posts. It was a pain in the rear.. Simpson recommended using them in pairs..It took 6 hrs for 2 post & 2 trips to store. I found using a clamp to hold EZ mender close to the fence..Beware it is not as easy sometimes it looks easy on KZfaq..Keep up the good work.

I could not agree more, this is NOT an easy job. FYI I only used one (side) and it's very solid. I used 2 hands on a 2.5 lb short sledge hammer. I wish the "lip" were a little bigger. To hit on. Be advised mine is still 100% solid. So a lot of work, but it works:)

I only see these in 4X4. Do they sell larger sizes?

Don't know. You could diy with steel "stakes" driven into the concrete footing & bolted to the bad post. :)

The correct word is "PLUMB"...not level. Level is horizontal...plump is vertical.

You need to treat that fence to some used motor oil!

I know guys who do that, but I think I'll need to use paint. The smell of the oil, ya know. Haha

Beware. If your posts are a true 4x4, these will not work. Inside demensions are for a 3-1/2 post.

Make sure you don't strike it at the top middle, or you will bend it in, which will prevent you from straightening the post.

It worked fine, just strike it at the spot they intend/indicate. Good product, fence is solid.
