Never Tell Suika, Kasen or Yuugi to hit anything as hard as they can. Unless you are Yukari. Cause if so you probably calculated the trajectory and want ground zero wrecked anyways.

@@gypsysprite4824 Oni-Kasen is not dumb like that.(except it is her arm) Remember the title of her - Crafty and Treacherous Oni. Even her original source in legend - Ibaraki Douji is a smart Oni which is an exception in the Oni race (She even lies and like to write poems) And hitting a ball as hard as you can will probably cause something unexpected like hits Yukari or Yuuka which will cause big trouble. Kasen should predict that.

So if Yukari is really intending it she might be either attacking the Lunarians or defending the Earth from a meteor or something. However, personally I think Yukari will more likely just ask her to hit it for the fuck of it and not even care where it's going to land or what it's going to destroy...

Amazing the ball still went slow enough to be affected by the Earth's gravity and not escape the solar system. Unless it did and it overflowed the ball's position variable, letting it end up right where it started.

It flew into the Barrier and wrapped around. Which is pretty smart, really, because the Barrier isn't like a solid wall, it's more like a strange phenomenon that turns you around so you end up where you started.

@@TheMarg0r Technically it doesn't wrap around, but stretches infinitely. Marisa said she tried flying into one direction going from the shrine, but no matter how far she flew, as soon as she turned around she'd instantly end up back at the shrine, as if she hadn't moved. Don't remember where she said it though... Edit (because it annoyed me): It's in Wahh chapter 25. It's described as "non-Euclidean" where you encounter the same landmarks (so in a way you do loop, just not from one side to the other). That's also only for humans though, but I'd assume it interacts the same with manmade objects?

Nice inspiration and good ideas everywhere. Each scene is a good catch with that well used music and pretty animation. Possibly one of the nicest Western MMD I've seen. Next time, working on shading (ExcellentShadow+an SSAO effect) for stages or backgrounds will be even nicer, depending on how powerful is the GPU.

Yeah, I use them, but not at full transparency because it felt a bit weird, I use Hg_SSAO. I'm still trying to find a good balance.

This was one of the first Touhou videos I ever watched, and I love it to this day! Suika is just too cute to handle, and the models used for all the characters (Reimu eapecially) are some of my favorites.

There's nothing about this video I don't love. The animations are smooth with subtle, fluid movements. The character models look fantastic, with Marisa and Sanae in particular both having strong hints of the original character portraits (without being... you know...). And the story is original, character appropriate, and FUNNY. I laugh every time I watch this. This could very well be the best Touhou MMD I've seen.

Ahhhh, nothing like slice-of-life cartoons starring our favorite insane super-powered beauties. Let's just talk about that ball trajectory though.... the only way it could go all the way around the world to the exact same spot was A. if the launch angle was low enough (which was properly demonstrated), and B. if its path was completely undisturbed by other objects. And it flew through a dang *forest.* That ball was probably literally hit into another dimension. On the bright side, Suika makes a great substitute for spaceflight school in case you want to move to Mars.
