No it was a pre-emptive swap the old one worked fine but we put a lot of miles on it so it made sense to renew before we had an issue in a remote location. Also was a good idea becase we get to chose who would do the work that would be taken away if in a location with a few shops able to do the work. We ended up with a 800 hp 1500 lbs torqe capable engine;)
