I was thinking about you two this morning. Cleaning up a house and surrounding area can be amazing! We found a BUNCH of Barbie shoes in our large flower bed along with a rusty pocketknife. In another, pocket change. Make it your own! I just love it. 👏✨😊

Everything looks so beautiful! 🌳🌿🌼🪴🌾 The rocks around the house are smart cuz they're perfect for drainage. You don't want water IN your house. 😄 Too bad I'm in Michigan, I love pulling weeds out or I'd help ya! 🤣 Hudson is so big now! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Hi Nathalie. Set them in water and give them time to root (new white roots) which you will then be able to plant. It may take time, put them in the garage or space where they won't be moved.

Your videos are inspiring as i also recently purchased my first home and love doing these home reno projects. One thing i found with my garden beds is wildlife loves digging through/messing up mulch so i opted to remove all of mine in favor of rocks. A little pricey but you also dont have to redo it every year.

You should document a little about the soil pH requirements for hydrangeas and rhododendrons. Both prefer slightly acidic soil, especially the latter, which may eventually die if the soil is not acidic enough.

Oh Natalie, everything looks so beautiful. How exciting. I remember when I bought my first home, it was so exciting to do gardening. Now I feel like I am an expert. I love the hydrangeas, but I am lucky that I have them in my fenced in yard. Can’t wait to see the inside. I. Hope you are enjoying the pool in this heat.

Such a beautiful video! I absolutely love seeing the amazing progress you are making on your home. I had no idea of all the work involved in landscaping. You and Eric are doing such a wonderful job. And yess the tape around the trees is due to an invasion of month caterpillars that have been destroying the trees near us so the neighbors recommended it!

We don’t yet 😓 he’s never *knock on wood* has gotten out of our property, we also put him on a long leash so it’s easier to grab him lol but we definitely need to put up an invisible fence!

I’d skip the landscape fabric next time and just put 2-3 inches of mulch. Weeds will grow eventually no matter what even with landscape fabric. Plus it will be better for the soils health without it.

@@nathaliefischerx3 yes! It will also be easy for the earth worms to go up and down to do their job improving your soil. I’d only use landscape fabric for rocks cuz they do end up going under when you keep stepping on them.
