Those faux flowers and foliage pieces were lucky to have someone like you come across them and give them a new home, Mr C.( A reminder to anyone wanting to get rid of their faux flowers and foliage: University theatre departments and school theatre clubs would probably love to have them to add to their props and scenery.) If you're still having a difficult time deciding on a colour, I would suggest keeping the wall white and just putting up artwork in all those colours ( I personally felt like a striped wallpaper in all of those colours plus white would have been very much in line with your personal aesthetic, but I'm not sure it would vibe with the room as is or lend itself to seasonal decor changes). It would give you time to just live with the space, but still have some visual interest. You could even hang up decorative textiles, baskets or even some of the embroidery that you've learned to do. I like the cream and beige tones, the yellow tones seem to bring more light to the space and the yellow flowers look fab. Love seeing the roof garden, we have some really nice flowers on the front now and it looks amazing. xx

I'm inclined toward the lightest of the greens. As for those other colors, they make great contrast colors - as you saw with the yellow flowers. :) Glad to see the roof garden! It always makes me happy and inspires me to muddy a few fingers. :)

Yellow will look fabulous during dreary rainy month. It's good for your heart...something in feng shui I think.

The long stemmed greenery is Ginko. Beautiful once arranged correctly

You can put broken eggshells in your pots stops the snails eating your plants. Also remember to lag your outdoor pipe stop it freezing in the winter x

The darker the colour, the more difficult it is to paint over if you decide to make a change. I know from experience! I like the greens which would complement the rest of the decor in the room.

I vote for Yellow #01 and Green #18. I have 3 wrought iron chairs, 1 vintage chair with floral needlepoint seat and back cushion, some wall art work and various this and that in basically the same green. That and teal kind of seem on trend right now, but I've like this color for years. It's refreshing and calming. I'm sure that whatever you choose, it will look fabulous! Have a great weekend!

Love the pale lemon . But I'm not fussed on dark colours especially when it's winter time.. BUT it's your home looking forward to see what you do.... also John Lewis has fantastic unusual wallpaper department.. .. patio looking 👍 ..

I think the green 18 or 7, or yellow at the top or the yellow at the bottom. Take off the ones that are definitely a no and spread the other colours away from each other. Light colours will push the wall away and the darker will bring the wall in. So a feeling of space go light, or a cosy feel go darker. If you choose a darker colour you could always get some thin batton and make a couple of rectangles on the wall and put some of that Libery wallpaper in them? Or get some pieces of art which will stand out on the dark wall. We have a neighbour opposite who often puts things out the front for free. We recently got some plants and a folding lap desk. We have also had a couple of large wooden display shelves and a lovely mirror which I upcycled. It would be good to see some of your upcycles Iwan. Soph.x

Loving the flowers, just a tip for anyone, get some fresh Eucalyptus stems and hang them above your shower 🚿 the steam makes them smell amazing and when they have dried out put them in a vase 💯👍🇦🇺🙋‍♀️

Hi Mr C I think with all your greenery in that room the yellow or beige would Brighton the room out plus make every thing pop in the room.

I was given a couple of bin bags of faux flowers and foliage almost identical to yours. I use them to fill in spaces in my roof garden in Aberdeenshire where it is very windy and cold during Winter. It’s great to fill out tubs when plants go over or die back. You can hardly notice they are not real and stop the sun from evaporating rain etc. I’m not keen on seeing bare earth in my tubs. The silk flowers are easily washed. Hang them upside down to dry.

I'm a green kind of gal but love the yellows too, I'm a big fan of the buttery yellow and the two lighter greens. Whatever you decide will be great, you know what suits you better than anyone.

Keep your egg shells and give them a rinse, crush slightly then put round the pot you have the hosts in. Slugs and snails don’t like walking over them.

Hey Iwan! Just what I wanted to see ( Your terrace makeover! ). Yeah I think the terra-cotta mixed with the middle green paint. When I was living in London I was lucky enough to work at Liberty for couple of months before moving to Harvey Nic’s ( they had air con and it was a really hot summer that year!

Watching this a bit late, but just wanted to pass on a tip for slugs. Keep your egg shells and scrunch them up and place in your pots, slugs won’t walk/ slither over them 🤗

A few coincidences...i wanted the Winborne White,for our newly finished utility room,so it was nice to see it on your doors.I prefer the lighter green,i think the paler colours make a room looker bigger...Just got the solid bamboo worktops,and the chopping board size was just like your great find of solid wood. Evening MrC some copper tape in the garden section of Poundland might help with the snails on the hosta plant. Just tape it around the plant pot seems to work for me xxx

I would prefer a darker warm grey tone. It' s more easier to decorate with an non tone.😘

Roof garden looks great and I love the yucca plant. My neighbour was throwing her yucca away as she thought it was dead and I took it. It just needed TLC. I now have 6 new plants.

Love the greens especially the pale willow looking one. Those fake flowers look good. Your skip find is great, it'd be great up on the roof garden as a small table/spare seat. All I ever find is builders rubble and old cracked plaster board. 🙄

I was thinking if you attached two door knobs in the middle, that might look interesting, almost like doors to a secret garden. For the wall colour I am Liking green 05 or one of the yellows. Love the yellow flowers and pink and green arrangement in the glass vase. Its going to be such fun choosing a colour for your bathroom, I was thinking a soft seude rose pink, with fluffy green or grey towels might look good, so looking forward to see what you will choose. green is so natural and easy to live with, summer and winter. no 18 with warm white or beige would be super. you could definitely brighten or accent with soft furnishings throughout the seasons. love your style ❤

Yellow 01 a lovely sunny colour and green 18 a natural relaxing colour are my favourites , a hard decision to make but I wouldn't go with the dark colours. What great finds the wood and all the greenery , I can't understand why people throw good things away instead of donating but I'm glad you found them and gave them a another lease of life.

For watering your roof garden I have an idea for you. Get a length of hose pipe just long enough to reach all your pots, then attach to outside tap (we love an outside tap!) then place the hose pipe IN the watering can and water from can. Saves going back and forth to tap and no spilled water on your boards, works really well. Pipe can be neatly looped over tap when not in use.
