I couldn't tell you exactly where the rule is because I started doing these about 12 years ago. So I wouldn't remember. Is there a possibility that this has changed since and there may be another metal detector that is approved, perhaps. It is a Zircon MT6. I do also know this the ultimate decision on all of this stuff comes down to the insurer themselves. If you happen to have somebody review a inspection that you did and they are not familiar with the particular metal detector you used they may reject it. Rght or wrong it may get rejected. I would certainly recommend using this one as all the insurers are familiar with it.

i did a lot of research about whether you need the ircon mt6 or not. turns out the "rule" is not found anywhere, but hey, zircon probably doesnt mind! i've use a bosch stud finder and none of my wind mits have ever been kicked back. great video btw. i love getting these huge discounts to my clients too @@NeilOlshefski4359

@@watchmenpropertyinspection3469 A few months ago I was at a FABI conference and there was a speaker there that showed another Zircon model he had been using for quite a while and has never had a wind mitigation kicked back for it. My MT6 has taken a beating and I am thinking about replacing it. What model of Bosch are you using?

@@watchmenpropertyinspection3469 I know, it is a huge beast! I wear cargo pants and a Columbia fishing shirt with lots of pockets so I don't have to wear a tool belt. I have to be careful that it does not fall out of my pocket. I am going to check out your Bosch. Might be a better fit.
