I went to try this in my bathroom and it was all good, and my chain became so shiny and clean I was so happy but.... It slipped from my hands and went right into the drain. I've lost my silver chain now.

OMG! I have been cleaning silver the wrong way my entire life!!! My silver GOD idols were getting all black thanks to using baking soda and aluminium foil in hot water. Using just a regular toothpaste removed absolutely every tiny stain on it. Thank you for sharing this hack :)
