$19.99 @ Walmart or Bed, Bath & Beyond. My special needs grandson has had one for years and is VERY attached to his!!

Homedics Sound Spa was good at first then went bad quickly. The old-fashioned dial volume control malfunctions in a short time, producing a staticky squeal that invariably startles you just as you’re falling asleep. I went through three in mere months thinking my first was just a bad unit. The other two I had to return as I was actually losing sleep. The sound loops are quite noticeable and you find yourself focusing on them rather than relaxation. A digital button volume control would make this an almost perfect unit.

What's the difference between having a noise maker like this one you showed and playing a recording of the same noises on your phone or mp3? I'm expecting a baby soon and would really like to know if I need to buy something like this or if I can just use whatever is already available at my house

+puchechai hi there after using both kinds--definitely the plug in sleep machine. It doesn't have that short "loop" that keeps going--annoying and not as smooth playing as the other. This one is great as it as many sound options and continuous play. Ultimately it's personal preference! Thanks for your comment.

Hello! I couldn't hear in your video properly, but does this have to have batteries to work? Or can I simply plug it into an outlet to run all night? Thanks!

Should have back up battery option too, I cannot remember fully. Our kids don’t need them anymore but worked so well when they did.
