Alaska life through the eyes of our two Belgian Malinois pups, Bradley & Gunner! We've raised dalmations most of our lives, but when our last dalmation past away in 2022, we decided to try a totally different breed. We chose the Belgian Malinois. This breed is nothing short of amazing. They're strong, protective, playful, loving & exceptionally loyal. We get SO many questions about our Mals, feel free to leave us a comment! I am not a dog/pet owner, but your dogs are beautiful and so well behaved and trained. From what I can learn, they are very intelligent and dedicated to their owners, defensive and very protective. Tina, you and Joe have done an amazing job training the dogs! They are so happy and seem like they were made for life in Alaska! They are so comical and at the same time are so attuned and intelligent … you all have adapted into Alaska life easily almost like Alaska was waiting for you. Yeah each Mal matures at their own time. Gunner’s ears have been up since he was just a few months old. Bradley is a late bloomer.🥰 Sometimes they’re up, sometimes they’re down!

These two boys are so much like my 8 month old Malinois girl. Glad to see they can handle the cold. My dog needs to get through her first Wisconsin winter after being adopted from Texas where she was abandoned. I've only had her for less than 3 weeks but I know she will soon get a playmate Malinois. These dogs are so incredible. I finally know what to do with my old sled!

Gus said Thank You for allowing him to go crazy while watching Bradley and Gunner!! lol I wouldn't trade my 2 shepherds for anything in the world. They are smart as whips and scare the hell out of "stranger danger" if you know what I mean. I'm only 5'1" , 109# and people can't believe the control I have with them at 96.5 and 66.5#. Sometimes it's a good thing when others don't know any better, but Gus has been known to lick the face off of people- haha. Leona is about the same age as yours and still a little leery of people. I call her my couch potato, but I'd put her up in a race with yours any day. Bradley sure doesn't look to happy in his place with the side drooping ears, lol. Personally, you are giving me great joy by allowing me my cat "fix." I miss mine.

I had great dogs that responded to commands, ate no human food and slept in crates. Then, my husband retired. It all went by the wayside. My two Cavaliers are lovable dogs but are now spoiled…..so, maybe my husband needs to go back to work. Lol Anyway, GREAT brothers, great job!

Aaaawww i just love these boys!!! Have had GSDs for years but have never had a Malinois. Being a GSD owner i use to be a little scared of Malinois, bc of the energy level and i thought they were more aggressive. They are the same as the GSD just more agile and higher energy ( didnt think that was possible) They are so different even tho they are brothers. Gunner is so stoic and all about work. Brandley is all about work but has a playful (goofball)side. I'm so glad you always mention this breed needs the right home. These dogs have to have their humans be alpha. They take a lot of time and work in training. Not all homes want to do that. Some don't have the space and exercise time they need and want to kennel this dog all day while they work then they end up with a dog that is anxious and destructive. Same with my GSD. The best family dog you could ever ask for and protect your family BUT they are not for every family. Nothing breaks my heart more than to see one of the magnificent creatures not having their needs met. From the pics of Mom & Dad looks like they are going to be on the larger size for Malinois. I absolutely love your slow-mo action shots of the boys. I always rewind and watch them a few times :) They crack me the hell up when the go a long distantance to retrieve something and run all the way back with both of them full speed holding their toys. If you guys have any good no destructive toys you could recommend that you have found, my GSD girls would appreciate it. They for sure are very toy driven and needy. Sorry for the long post, I JUST LOVE THESE BOYS!!

They are beautiful boys! They must love it there! My Mal x GSD lives for the snow, she just loves it. I love that you showed how they work hard and play hard, then take there naps. My dog is the same, play play play then will take a good 2 hour nap in the late morning. If only mine was as well trained as your sweet boys. I also like that you showed how loving these dogs really are. Great video!
