I've been following Kirsten for over two years, but especially have been finding these videos helpful as we've moved our home recording studio. My boyfriend and I are both musicians and basically use the entire place as our creative zones, not just the studio. 😆 And I swear, the organization tips and Home Goods finds I get from Kristen have always been spot on! Specifically, finding REALLY nice, cat-friendly rugs to bring the place to life (not to mention help with sound). Thank you, seriously, so much for always helping us get better at organizing our space and making our little creative zone both more functional AND more beautiful!

Would love to see how to lighten dark furniture. Also creative way to keep your treadmill and still have a room with style.

I’ve recently updated a room with a treadmill. My husband purchased a stationary bike and we added a long sofa table we weren’t using in a dark wood and put it against the opposite wall from the treadmill. We inherited some high-end, autographed portraiture of golf legends for the large walls of the room, and hung inspirational word art/quotes on small wall areas. Painted the walls a very light greige, which looks great with the black exercise equipment and dark wood sofa table and dark wood frames. It’s sort of an upscaled exercise room and looks great. Good luck!

White wash your dark wood, a mix of half white paint half water, lightens the wood but let’s the grain show through.

Homegoods is my absolute favorite store. I went to the opening day in Chicago in the early 2000's . I've still got so many of those pieces in my home. I always buy gifts for others from there. They have such wonderful quality unique pieces. It was so exciting to watch this video. Thanks for sharing. Especially how Thursday is the best day. I will definitely utilize it for my future shopping.

I like how you show the items at a distance, then up close, and then you show the price tag. Great videography! If I had an empty house and unlimited money, I'd fill my home with Home Goods products.

Oh and absolutely shop for mirrors at Home Goods. I am a pattern digitizer for a glass fabrication company in Denver and that means mirrors too! Home Goods deals with a different type of capabilities that don't require as many people or machines and do different things with their products which puts them right in my price range for sure.

We had one Burlington in another town that was absolutely disgusting and you could tell the customers and the staff could not care less about the mess or how they treated the merchandise, I am not sure if it is still there since I never went back, it was that bad. We are fortunate the Burlington, Ross, TJX, Marshalls, etc. near me are all immaculate.

@@marthestapleton5624 I wish I had a store close by. I have to drive over an hour just to get to 3 of them. That’s the minimum. Each one is longer. I don’t have the At Home either + they won’t take my tax ID (but will in the store): SO NOT FAiR. If you do it one place, do it both & they’re shipping just rises. Rhey never give a break like most stores. I had an order in my cart for $100. So then I wouldn’t have paid tax and it should be free shipping. Nope they tacked on $400-500. For the total because of shipping and tax. Needless to say I didn’t get anything cute. That store is like 5 or more hours away. Ugh. Doesn’t it bite? I have TJMaxx, Hobby Lobby, dollar Tree which just had 0 and is $1.25. Everything seemed so much smaller and if they haven’t gotten Easter, it’s gone. Rhey had no storage, baskets, anything like that. I also have a Joann which I always forget & the internet. I need someone who lives close to these stores and share buy! 🥰

Thanks, Kristen! I didn't know that the summer stuff came out this early yay! I saw a bright Coral painted wood patio small table a few months ago... It was like a side table and it had a removable top that was a tray. It was so pretty. I can't stop thinking about it. When I went back to look at it again about a month later it was gone.

Kristen, I love HomeGoods also, however, your HomeGoods is fully stocked. I am not so fortunate; here in the Philadelphia area we don't have a wide variety and the items they have is not the quality shown on your haul? Your store has a great selection.

Hi great tutorial. We are in the process of remodeling our bathroom. The home was built in 1929. So it’s got a lot of layers of gunk to go through. The main thing that you helped with were the mirrors . We are having a hard time finding mirrors that work with the little space that we have and also the baskets. I love those thanks for your help. Also can you really chalk paint old couches or loveseats to get a leather look and feel?

My HomeGoods store looks and feels like a hospital. It's very uncomfortable walking inside and makes me want to leave ASAP. Nice that you have a HomeGoods that's well stocked and taken care of.

I know if you find something you really like,buy it because it will not be there when you go back..if it doesn't work it can be returned. I missed out on a pair of lamps. I'm sure I will never find another pair like them.

Quick Question - Did I miss the "what to stay away from in this video - you mentioned in your intro". My apologies if I did, I am not quite awake yet and may have missed it. This is one of my favorite places to shop, and we are getting new free-standing Home Goods up the street from our home I am looking for a lot of things I could find here and in IKEA (furniture, decor, organizational, baskets, etc.). It is time to re-paint our entire home and make some changes to the upstairs bathroom and change furniture in a home office. May refinish some furniture or replace it.

TLDR: any videos about having several styles in one apartment on a room per room basis? Hello Kristen, got into process of finding a place for myself, getting ideas and all that, endeavor in which your channel has been a good inspiration source, is there any video in which you tackle whether people should stick to one style or is it okay to have several styles within an apartment ? Like Industrial in Kitchen and the dinner room, but maybe something like scandi/japandi in living room and then something very cosy and soft for bedroom etc Just wondering if this will look messy overall, dissonant, etc, What's your take ? (Inb4: I have seen the video of a few weeks ago, not looking to match several styles in one, more like having one style per room) Thanks in advance !!
