The Atlas Bar and Powertec Bicep Preacher Curl
Most of the equipment, attachments, and accessories I use can be found following the link in my KZfaq bio / about page. I am an affiliate for Powertec, GymPin, and I have an Amazon affiliate store. Please consider using one of my affiliate links. Any time a purchase is made through my affiliate links, I could receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. When you make a purchase using the link, you help support this channel, but more importantly, it shows the company I am helpful to their brand. Thank you!

The big issue with elbow pain (tennis or golfer) is that it affects you during the first degree of supination, specially if there is a peak of tension at the beginning. So in order to not aggravate it, you have to avoid some peak of tension at the beginning or if it is a fresh injury first 15°~20° of supination must be avoided till it heals up a bit. Also using a wrist wrap and attach it to your forearm, where you feel the pain, also can help during the movement. This also happens during shoulder abduction such as in dumbell lateral Flys for example but only if you have tennis elbow.

I’ve had both; tennis elbow once and golfer’s elbow about 5 times. It’s so hard to get rid of and so easy to re-aggravate. Another exercise that will re-aggravate my golfer’s elbow are pec flys (which is why I use my ab straps).

I don’t think I’ve ever seen the Atlas Bar on sale, but maybe the inventor will see this comment and reply with any potential discounts in the future.

Just noticed all your bands. Do you do a lot of band only exercises in addition to adding them to your weight exercises (Levergym/Leg Sled, etc)?

I go through phases with bands. At the moment, I’m using them for warming up and the only other exercise is the seated calf raise on the Levergym.

That bar looks great, when you lift heavy weight with it do you notice any tension on the wrists?
@HomeGymHacksandReviews
@HomeGymHacksandReviews 2 ай бұрын
No tension on the wrists. The guy who invented the Atlas Bar originally created this design due to his own wrist issues.

Amazing attachment, but the resistance profile on the bottom will probably eliminate the risk of being injured since is very light on the bottom, the mid range will be most loaded

I honestly don’t think it feels light at the bottom…especially with the length I have the chain.

Got you man! Thought so because of the point it reaches in the middle-ish looks heaviest since its the point where the load is the farest from the pivot point

Got to ask, many may know but I cant remember hearing so I'm asking, What is your Highest Max Ever on Bench and Squat????? The Deadlift does not matter to me as I've never done them. We were always told that Deads are too dangerous, no need to do them so don't ever do the lift. We listened as we were gonna compete so what are your Numbers???? Oh and BTW, we do not accept the answers, 1. I don't know 2. I never maxed out 3. All other answers along the lines of #1 & #2. Thnkx for Sharing Take Care Bud

@@bobbyhunt3009 that is tricky to answer because I stopped barbell benching when I started doing DC Training in ‘05-‘06 (which Dante recommends) and that’s when I started getting strong. But because you said I had to answer, prior to DC training, I think my best barbell bench was 265 at 160 pounds. However, I think my best on DB Flat Press for the DC Rest Pause Trio was 14, 7, and 3 with the 100 pound dumbbells. As for barbell squat, that was an exercise that usually tweaked my back, so I never did a 1 RM, but I think I did 365 for 12 reps during my DC Training Days.
