That’s what I LOVED about the first episode. Homelander was so rarely used, but when he was there his presence was so huge. And everyone shat their pants just at the thought of him. And then the episode ends with him fucking blowing up the airplane.

I kinda expected him to be douchiest of them, because he simply can. Due to all that power he pretty much doesn't answer to anyone. So wasn't surprised at all when I saw the airplane scene.

I would say His acting in this is some of the best I’ve ever seen in a Live comic adaptation but it’s some of the best I’ve ever seen period. The guy is brilliant, Karl urban is also incredible. It's kind of what Stalin used to say, "One death is a tragedy, a million is a statistic." The one death hits harder because you can understand and relate to that. One is a small number, it's easy to understand. A sufficiently large number of deaths is very hard to comprehend, and it's almost impossible to picture in your head such a number of people, let alone feel sorry for each and every one of them. We're not monsters, it's just that our emotions have their limits. And a million is a very large number that goes way above our emotional capacity to understand and empathise.
