Our hair used to constantly clog up the drain. I came up with a really cheap solution that works! For less than $1 and a trip to the craft store, I was able to make my own hair catcher! No more clogs!

I was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2013 so I lose alot of hair, with the medication I'm on. I'm constantly clogging up my bathtub... This was very useful, thank you!

Buy the screen strainer, the one that is not so fine mesh, more efficient. Use a Q tip and swirl those hair like a cotton candy, throw it away, then run water on the screen, no need to touch it. very efficient way, no touching.

I really love this idea! It also seems really great for herbs in the tub. Thank you! I also had an idea that you could wash it really easily when it gets gross instead of throwing it away :) just soak it in the sink with baking soda and vinegar-so we have less plastic waste and save a few dollars and trip to the store :)

That was brilliant! And I have a ton of plastic canvas, going to do this immediately. Thank you for the awesome tip!

THANK YOU! I just finally got my shower unclogged and want to keep it that way. I googled diy hair catcher just in case anything came up that I could make out of stuff I have laying around (seemed really unlikely) and I have one of these plastic canvases!

this is such a good idea! looks durable and washable too. the ones at the store are really flimsy and hard to wash, and seem to collect mold really easily...

That’s a cool trick! Wish I would’ve seen this prior to spend $15! As soon as I get the drain cleared I can try it. Need to have the drain snaked, went through an entire bottle of Drano in 2 days and still extremely slow drain. 😡

Looks like it works well for a bathtub shower. My drain is in the middle of the shower so I would be stepping on that.

Maybe try laying it flat, instead of rolled up.

Thank you, why spend money from big box stores to find out it doesn't work.

I like how you don't even tell us the name of the product so that we can buy it ourselves
