I saved this video for quite some times now, I tried it now and it really stays flexible if you make the pieces thin enough! It is a bit stickier though. It is not too great for other things though because it takes way too long to dry. Thanks for this great recipe :) was looking for something like this and most others don't share their recipe ^^

Hi, you're welcome. Glad you found the video helpful😊 you can use any type of coloring you like. Acrylic colors work perfectly for this. We've used acrylic colors as well, but make sure you keep in mind that acrylic colours always get darker when it dries.

@minithaabraham
@minithaabraham Жыл бұрын
The state you are mentioning it to be in, is a result of extreme overcooking, it would be dificult to fix it at this point. You might have to make another, paying close attention to its consistency, texture and how cooked it is, you must stop cooking when it starts seperating from the pan.

Can i add some soap instead of shaving foam
@sleepynightowl1550
@sleepynightowl1550 10 ай бұрын
Shaving foam is added for flexibility and poofiness of the clay. Soap doesn't have the same properties as shaving foam, so no, you can't use soap instead and expect the same result

Is it waterproof? If not then what should be applied on that to make it waterproof?
@minithaabraham
@minithaabraham 3 ай бұрын
Varnish can make it weather proof but to make it robustly waterproof, add a coat of epoxy resib. When the clay is dry, add a thin coat of resin.

@minithaabraham
@minithaabraham 2 жыл бұрын
Hi, we have only used the clay for thin things like petals (i have tested it for many different flowers )and they've always worked perfectly for this purpose. However i think it will work even if you are going for something thicker like tentacles as long as you follow the recipe correctly. Be careful about the glycerin: whiteglue: cornflour ratio 👍 Goodluck with the project and thankyou for visiting my channel 😊

And start making things after 24 hours.adding or dusting little bit corn flour also work. If you add more. Dough will be ok. But reduce its flexibility. Keeping outside without covering and knead every 10to 15 minutes also help to epavorate some excess moisture.and after it is ok keep dough in air tight container.
