Amazing. And for the people asking about paint i advise you with this: - Use any regular paint, thin it down with proper thinner ( water, etc... ). Aclicic can be used also, thinned down. Water based diluted pigments works amazingly to. 👌

Normally one uses emulsion paints or plastic paint to spray. I guess an artist could look at using watery paint or thinned down paint with this spray gun....

Cool. I did this very exact thing to dump leftover WD-40 into, because I had about a dozen WD-40 cans that always run out of propellant with about a quarter can of product left inside. Now I pop a hole in the can and dump it into the spray bottle, works great.

Maybe a little late on this , but I'll give you a better way to get all the WD-40 out without puncturing can and transferring... Cut the valve stem off an old bike tube , remove the spray cap off of your can of WD-40 and use the valve stem in place of it (kinda like an adapter) to pump in some air with an air compressor. This will allow you to get all the WD-40 to spray like normal. Just don't go crazy with the air pressure when refilling the can.(common sense I hope) I don't go over 90psi and never had any problems. I've refilled all kinds of spray cans over the years like WD-40, PB blaster, glass cleaner, etc. Works like a charm! If my instructions weren't clear, there are several videos here on KZfaq that show you how it's done.

Hi nice idea, I guess the failure mode is that the bottle cracks around the hole for the cycle valve? If that's the case try lightly melting the edge of the hole with a kitchen gas torch. Heating it just enough to smooth off the edges of the hole will help to stop it cracking and covering you with paint. Kind regards . . . Andy

Great idea and there is room for improvement. If it is fitted with a small electric gas compressor, it will be constantly inflated and will not have to be pumped again and again.

You can thin your paint with paint thinner if it's to thick. I use cheap detail gun sucks cleaning it.

New subscriber. I guess you could make your own paint for the sprayer. You just buy regular paint and add paint Thinner to thin it out enough to go through the sprayer. Great video thanks for sharing

Always use a bottle made for carbonated drinks because they are designed to endure that much pressure. A water or fruit juice bottle will explode with very little pressure

Unless it is a strong bottle it may explode or leak after the threshold limit. Pumping stray cans frequently fails after some use

Aireation should be along with the cover and free empty refills. Water filters can be made this way for clean water. Mostly sea water. Overhead water tank supply.
