If you add Citric Acid (Vitamin C Powder), it’ll preserve your Aloe Vera Gel/Juice for longer. Citric Acid is a natural preservative. You can get at Whole Foods. Just a tip! 👍🏾

Instead of using water to blend the aloe vera,you can use olive oil,coconut oil,castor oil,etc and it also helps grow your hair really well

This sounds good, do you apply this to your hair and leave it in? If so how often do you apply it?
@The504sue
@The504sue 10 ай бұрын
@@dempress3549normally you leave it in for like 20-30 minutes. I usually leave it in while I do a bunch of stuff around the house, then I rinse it. But I like to leave a little in my hair, so I don’t rinse mine 100% I’m telling you. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, has ever made my hair as soft as aloe does. I condition my hair with aloe only, now. I’ve been doing this for about 2 months consistently every time I wash my hair. And my hair is super dry. I’ve never been able to find anything to work well. I’ve tried all different types of conditioners, natural conditioner. Aloe blew me away! I’m not sure if my hair had to detox or not. I’ve also been washing my hair with apple cider vinegar only for about a year. My hair definitely detoxed when I started that. ACV restored the PH balance. When you go natural for anything, your body detoxes all of the heavy metals & chemicals you’ve been putting into your body for years.

I don't like to waste my aloe, so I have been putting my aloe in an ice tray and freezing it into cubes. That way it lasts a bit longer. Then when I make my aloe sprits, I can take 1-2 cubes out at a time and add them to the spray I make. I add oils to it and some distilled water, and it's ready to go. I do use an antimicrobial in it as well to give it a shelf life. If I use it daily, I tend to make it every week. It works great, and my hair smells great. I like using it between washes.

Wow, I had no idea all these comments were here waiting for me. Here's the answers: I picked up a the antimicrobial on amazon, brand Wild Herb, Luecidal SF Liquid. The oils I use are; Castor oil, collagen serum, argan oil, Hyaluronic Acid serum, peppermint oil, Tea tree oil, 12,000IU vitamin E oil. I also add 2tbsp of Cantu leave in conditioner.

I make my own gel too but keep the pulp to mix with my night facial moisturizer that I keep in the fridge. I put the gel in silicone large cupcake/muffin mold and freeze overnight then pop them out and put in freezer bags. One or two of these is enough for pre-poo treatment once every 7-10days. It completely detangles my now midback length hair. I also freeze the pulp in the same way. This works great for my normally dry skin and hair.

The aloe vera content is destroyed if you freeze it, it doesn´t tolerate the minus degrees, so I wouldn´t put it in the freezer if you want to save all to good content of the plant.

Thank you for posting this! I followed the video with some water, mine made less but my leaves are smaller. I added two tablespoons organic coconut oil, 6 drops wild orange essential oil, 4 drops peppermint oil and whisked it in the jar. I use it on my skin after shower/bath and it’s not sticky or greasy. Lightweight, moisturizing and smells amazing! I’m hooked on aloe vera!

The best method is have found for getting the Aloe out of the leaf after u have taken off the sides 1- use a knife to peel off the top surface of the leaf by gliding the knife just under the surface. 2- use a spoon to scoop the gel off of the remaining surface. You can go back and scoop of any little on the first side if you want. It is quicker and less messier.

Too messy for me. I put the aloe chunks in a fine screen strainer over a large measuring cup. I use a small paring knife that works great to quickly remove the pulp then use a spoon to scape a couple of times to make sure I get all the aloe off. Then I rub the small amount of gel on my hands onto my hair.

Wash the peeled chunks at least 3 times (better 6 times) using water and discard the washed water. Use only the well washed pieces to avoid any poison. It may be better to soak the pieces in water for 30 minutes and then discard the wash water.

thanks for this. I read somewhere that Aloe Vera has a toxic yellow substance when you cut it, and it is important to avoid the yellow substance. I've had mine resting on paper for about an hour. I will soak them now.

You can grow your own leaves that big as well just keep them in the house in the window. They grow better indoors.

This is a really good method, it's very close to the one that I use and I love it . I use different oils in mine. However, never ever ever ever? if you want a product to be completely natural use a pantyhose which is full of flame retardant chemicals and other chemicals as well. You're straining your natural product through chemicals and yes it does get into your natural product. 🙏 namäste💎🌱 Ps. If you're making it for yourself is fine but even when I make my own I do use gloves to make sure no bacteria, no cross-contamination because it's very easy to touch anything you're working with and then your touching your gel that you are putting in your jar because you're not using any utensils. The reason I know is because I make products that's all . I'm not intending to criticize her method because like I said I like it. it's just little things people do and if you don't make products were you selling them/ Even for yourself , it's info you have to be mindful of. I know alot of people don't know. Namäste 🌱🙏💕

Hello, I'm I loved your video and will be subscribing. Question though... To preserve it in the freezer do I follow your recipe (including essential oils) and freeze that or do I freeze the raw aloe and water mixture? Thank you in advance. Also, how often do you use your mixture on your hair?
@jamilania9230

One more tip-Get an aloe plant for home! They Grow fast, have lots of Baby’s, and in a few years as long as put into bigger pots when needed-Your Aloe Will Get Leaves this Big-and Since they seed themselves you should Always Have Aloe. The article I posted also suggested like you did, not to use top of plant that’s where the poison is-rather to use the bottom towards the stem.

Great video, thanks for sharing. You mentioned that you use this for detangling, right ? How exactly do you apply it on your hair for that purpose? Just as hair conditioner? Im looking into using natural conditioners since I have a condition which limits the products I can use.

Love the video how concise your instructions are! I know there are various species of aloe plants. I have a huge plant that I have kept for several years but am not sure of the variety. The leaves of my plant look similar to the leaf you are using but is a bit rounder and fuller. Is it okay to use?
