By far, it is the simplest, most effective small loader I've seen. Well done, sir!

That works very well. Best you order front end parts for that tractor now. You're going to need them.

These were actually designed to use a loader of similar size. The Deere loader for them mounts just under and ahead of the foot rests.

The 445 Super Garden Tractor front end axle is very robust. I have a Little Buck Loader kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nM13dsmZ18XLkZs.html on mine for the last year working it hard...no problems. Just keep up on maintenance, lubrication and visual checks.

Very nice! great build and well presented. As someone that has been looking for an original John Deere model 40 FEL I can tell you that there are hard to find and when you do they are very expensive so I am intrigued by your design and may just build one. A couple of questions... did you build your bucket or buy one ready made? did you replace the pressure relief valve in the transmission as is recommended with the model 40?

Did you have to change the forward pressure relief valve on the 445 as recommended in JD’s tech manual?

Nicely done. Thank you for sharing. I see you have enough hydraulic cylinder travel to lift the nose off the ground. That was one of my questions. Were the hydraulic cylinders and lines pre-bled so you didn't have to fight bleeding and filling the hydraulic system? I was going to suggest wheel weights, but it looks like you have quite a bit hanging off the back end.

Imagine having access to all those tools and a welder and still doing the Tik Tok tack welding technique 😂

You tack your pieces into place first. 🙄 Then you run full welds. If you looked at the build, he ran welds on everything. The video would have bee three time longer if he videoed every weld.

What pump do you use for the hydraulics? And what are the specs of the pistons? Thanks. I was doing research on how building one myself. It’s hard to find the correct stuff.
@davebenedict7986

I think he is using the pump that's integrated into the transaxle. The Deere 445 comes with a K91, which has an internal pump.

@@wimleo71 Inside the Tuff Torq K91? I have no idea. Tuff Torq lists nothing on their site, but it may be that those are the same as a K92. I found a link for increasing system pressure and posted it a few replies down.

Nice job building, but you need to protect your tractor and the hydraulic rams from the sparks while your welding. A welding blanket works best. Also, your painting technique needs work. You look like your spraying insect killer😁 Your getting overspray everywhere.
