Wow, where to start? The warm lighting shouts an invitation to us into your cozy home. I can almost smell the pot of chicken stock and that beautiful sourdough loaf, oh my! Those silicone garlic tubes are invaluable. Then Charlee making the pasta, she will remember this always. First time I've seen her in glasses. Slowing down and being Intentional is so important. As it is written: "Be still and know that I am God"

Awwww Charlie is growing up so fast. She will make a wonderful chef. My oldest son wanted to be a Chef and cooked for a restaurant for a couple of years. He then changed his mind - he wanted to make his own things. He makes some amazing stuff - some times it looks like something you would buy in a fancy restaurant. Like you I was not taught but a few basics. My poor ex had to grow through alot with me learning to cook. My favorite was years ago, I made a homemade beef stew. While we were eating - he says this is not Dinty Moore. I laughed and said no. He said it was better. Turned out Dinty was his favorite. I think letting it simmer on slow all day in a Dutch oven was the secret. Our first year married we visited my grandparents and he told my grandmother to teach me to make homemade biscuits and gravey, which she did. Keep those lessons going. Your making such wonderful memories with her. The sourdough bread looks so delicious.

Your little chef in the making is adorable. She’s a mini you. Such a beautiful family. My family are all grown and living in other states. My husband passed away this past April. I absolutely love hanging out with your young family. I too love Fall, the rain, the chill in the air and something simmering on the stove bread baking in the oven all with intoxicating aromas. It’s like everything’s right with the world. Thank you 🎃💜

I think one I'd the major draws to homesteading, at least for me, as been the romance of a slower paced life. and this season I've really seen that the slow paced lifestyle has nothing to do with homesteading. homesteading can be slow but it can also be fast, just like any other lifestyle. it's really just a choice. and I'm choosing to find what that looks like for me and it's been a blessing and beautiful process

I liked that your daughter loves to be in the kitchen with you. I'm surprised though, that with your faith and morals you share on your vids, that you wore a hat at the table, And did not say grace with your family. Maybe your kids would enjoy blessing the food God has provided. Sadly I'm disappointed. Just sayin'.
