What a wonderful, loving person you are in carrying so much for your fur babies. I don't think people realize how much time, and money, a sick pet takes. Love doesn't pay the thousands of dollars in vet bills, and the worry, sleepless nights and uncertain days in coping with their illness. I'm going through stage 5 heart murmur, plus pancreatitis, with my 6 year old Chihuahua. I live on social security and food stamps. There is only so much I can do. I am making her food, and as you say, she has good days and bad . I do not want her to suffer. God help all of us who care for sick pets. Thank you for the good works you provide.

I was throwing together 85% lean hamburger (drained of fat once cooked), but sauteed in olive oil, rice, barley, frozen veggie mix, low sodium chicken broth. I did toss in sprinkle of Italian season mix. I saw online that oregano, basil etc was good for dogs. Cracked 2 eggs into the mix. I need to get some of the supplements you suggest. I realize this video is a year or so old, but i just ran across it. Wanted to take a moment to mention I was already trying a recipe (today) that I hoped would make it easier to give both our Shih-Tzus (12.5 & 13.5 years old) their meds. Long story short, the recipe was very similar though not exactly like your recipe #2 and it was a huge hit. Made them into very mini-sized muffin type meat muffins so to speak and afterwards poked a hole in the muffin to stuff the huge Vetmedin (half) into one and stuffed her smaller Lasix and Apoquel into another. Did the same for the other one's 1 med tablet. I crumbled up a couple more to use as a topper with their Muenster Milling Picky Eater Formula kibble. Oh my goodness...they about tore their stainless steel dog bowls up shoving their faces into ever crevice...lol...and it warmed my heart too. They can both be very picky eaters and if they even suspect a pill is near, they will turn completely away from me🙄. Anyway, just want to also say thank you for offering your special recipe for those of us trying to give our health compromised furbabes the best possible life, for as long as we can. I will definitely be trying your recipes, as well...sans the garlic. Thanks again from a very grateful viewer. God bless you and all your furbabes. Hope Twinkie is still with as well! 💝

What meds do you give twinkie? My dog is on Vetmedin, Enalapril and Lasix. I’m cooking for him per your recommendations. He’s been doing great on the meds but as we enter the 2nd year since his diagnosis I notice him coughing more. Thanks for your video.

We have had many scares with overnight stays in the oxygen tent and have has to add more medications over the years. She has been getting so picky about eating I have been worried we were going to loose her! We went to the vet today and added an anti-nausea pill. I found your videos and what insight you have given me! I have put in an order at Amazon and am cooking a dinner for my little girl in the hopes she will like it!! When you are describing things that can cause CHF in dogs with bad teeth, one is raw meat and (sounds like) green free foods. What are green free foods?

I put my boys meds directly in his food, unless it is to be taken on an empty stomach. In that case, I cheat and put a very tiny amount of peanut butter on the pill. Thank you for these videos. Hello, I have been doing home cooked for my lil guy with CHF we went for a cardiology appointment Tuesday and she was all over me stating his diet is not a balanced diet..my lil guy is allergic to chicken and beef so I use turkey and bison. The cardiologist referred me to a veterinary nutritionist who in turn says she couldn’t balance a diet using novel protein .Could you tell me if your recipes are balanced and also what vitamin supplements do you give Twinkie.We are 6 months in since diagnosis and he has diffuse muscle wasting I am lost in this journey of CHF.

My dogs eat raw meat and are so healthy... not sure why everyone seems to want to cook their dogs food🤔There are so many more enzymes and beneficial. bacteria in raw meat ....and my dogs LOVE it
