Love that you are cooking his food but all the “good” stuff that is in the food is killed when you microwave. Maybe individual servings and pull one out the night before so it is room temp by morning? Just a thought.

You can boil the veggies and meat in broth. And add chicken trachea which both provide a good amount of glucosamine, chondroitin and collagen which really helps with the joints, hips and bones

I cook chicken, beef liver, beef, carrots and sweat Pototes individually for my dog. Let cool. Chop up cucumbers and red bell peppers. Distribute into many quart size freezer bags that go into freezer. Have always 5 bags in refrigerator in stages of thawing. My dog loves her food.

Aww, I have a German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix. She's 8 but she has the energy of a puppy. Today I'm starting to add cooked turkey and veggies to her canned food. But I'm thinking of doing a Crock-Pot. I don't have my own kitchen. Debating how much I should feed her. Right now she's getting about a cup and a half twice a day. But I feel like she's still hungry, but she's also fat lol. Trial and error is the only way to learn, hopefully less error though. Your pup is sooo freaking cute and his coat is AMAZING, great video!

My dog picked out the vegetables when I made it this way. So I turned it into a meat loaf. I just added about 1/2 cups oats and 2-3 eggs. I also crush/grind one of the egg shells and mix it into the unbaked loaf. I bake the loaf on 350 for about 30-35 minutes, just long enough for the ingredients to bound together. I cut the loaf in 8 slices. He gets two pieces a day. Btw. I shred the veggies/use a blender to make the pieces smaller and mix well with the ground meats. I buy whatever meats are on sale. Pork, beef, chicken, Turkey. During part of the year I can get deer meat, elf, bison. My dog enjoys them all.

You should research and consider b.a.r.f diet for ur pooch... i have my 3 on that diet and i can see the change it makes to their fur and poop....poopskies are solid and healthy and only 2 a day ... and for my senior pooch (golden retriever) .. he's 10 yrs old his joints and hips are have gotten better in 2 months.... personally i was skeptical on the whole raw diet but i just went for it ...now i recommend it for every dog owner... my dogs thank me each and every day

When you poor the broth off of the veggies you lose a lot of nutrients... you should cook it together and add either rice or oatmeal to soak up the broth... dont throw it away

Get his hip crated 6 mos +. Vet can see at this time if he’s got hip issues. Most of the time it doesn’t affect them in everyday living . Can’t enter in shows though! There is a liquid dog formula will relieve pain if dog experience discomfort it buy dog food for large dogs with costamine in it. ( kibbles) is bad for large breed dogs !! When he’s full grown eat 6 cups 2x a day expect fresh cold ice water up to 5 gals. Rottie the best non bark pet
