I am a fighter plane crew chief in the USAF, i have seen the baddest planes in the world take flight but seeing a homemade airplane has fascinated me much more than any fighter plane has. Great job building this plane keep being who you are.

Haha yeah one very full of life engineer, it seems when you cut across the grain you can accomplish anything. I have started with RC airplane projects myself and my private pilots license is up next.

When the plane finally got off the ground it brought me to tears because of all the hard work... The weight lifting off the ground was like the weight of suspense lifting off my back. You sir... Just blew me away. Never stop doing that.

@@haze6647 you don’t need a pilots license if the plane is classified as an ultralight however you do need one for other classes of aircraft.

The first time we met you we're flying a Slow stick with a 100W LED on it (might been 25 or 50? cant remember) Pretty darn amazing how far you've come since than. Thank you for proving that the same building techniques that we use to build 100 grams models can be used to fly a human. I am proud to be your friend.

If he's saying 73 years young, he is avoiding saying old so It sounds more flattering. For example saying a house is 40 years old sounds like you are saying its old and worn, but saying the house is only 40 years young sounds like it is still young and ONLY that age. That is my interpretation anyways.

In my opinion, this is the most amazing out of all the projects you’ve ever done. It’s amazing that just by upscaling an RC plane, you were able to actually fly yourself! Congrats, Peter. I think all that time spent was worth it.

Well done man, absolutely amazing, you are literally living my dream. I had no doubt that your pla e would not fly considering its size and components. After watching Jackie Chan flying a cri cri plane in armour of god in the 90s and also watching the radio flyer movie as I was a child I had always dreamed of building a portable plane to fly around in anyone anywhere. As I said, I always dreamt of one, you actually built it and flew in one. Congratulations again.

hye NB, if u build a plane to travel around the city, u need runaway for your plane to takeoff n landing.. why not build a "human-carry drone" ? much smaller, much easier to flying it around the city.. u know what? u dont need runaway for it haha..

In this "modern" "society", as it were, that sets the bar at mediocrity, you are an example to all of what man is truly capable of. i would like to suggest to you an idea regarding the painting of your plane. it would be cool as hell if you had a pinup girl painted on the front of the fuselage like they used to do in wwii, like the Memphis Belle.

So for one thing, you decide to build your own airplane, and pull it off with ease!! Then you decide to power it electrically, something that many major airplane producers can still now only dream of... And you nailed it again!! Awesome project and super inspirational, Well DONE!!!
