Experimental Handpiece 3 is a simple project with a 96 Index wheel. Only 8 parts made of aluminum and a few screws, all together weighing 230 grams. If you make it carefully, it provides the possibility of precise faceting and the result will be a beautiful gem. My goal was to design handpieces whose making is not demanding for a beginner and only requires basic tools. I provide a free blueprint for all interested builders and I wish you a lot of enjoyment in building and faceting ...

I am delighted you're opening up the door of this artform for others. So many people feel shut out from this artform just due to the initial cost of equipment, alone. This is really ingenuitive and has an intuitive design, with good results!

I'm from Brazil. This is the best equipment project for lapping. All done with great care. Congratulations. I'll follow his example and make one for myself. hello Michael, yes the plan is at the bottom of the comments, there are 4 links to my "Liburni" page, print on A4 size paper. Basically everything is written according to the photos and you can adjust the measures to your material that you have in the workshop .... Sorry but this was just an experimental model, but you can draw the index yourself as you wish in one of the programs "CorelDraw" or similar. You can also use different materials and sizes. One day I want to make a Thai handpiece that has no index at all.Thanks for watching and commenting.
