I think this is your most intense build, one with the most ingenuity and the most useful/needed. I have to be honest with myself, as much as I'd love to have that add on, I'll probably never spend the effort. Nice job Marty.

you're one of if not the most creative people I've ever come across. it amazes me just how much DIY projects that you can do. you've really got to know what you're doing and obviously you do

that's slick man! you definitely think outside the box. I like how you pay attention to the small details. I think that's what makes your builds so interesting. some things I would never think to do untill I see you do it and it such an obvious/functional detail. lol. like the metal trim. makes total sense but I would have never thought to do it myself.

Marty, thanks for making such good videos that are clean so I can watch them with my family. You may cuss like a sailor (kayaker?) off camera but you always are considerate here. So rare. Thanks.

Wow!!!! No doubt it is not for the average person. I actually understood completely what you were doing and have the tools. There is no way I would attempt that one. You did a fantastic job. Great attention to detail. Your ingenuity is amazing. Its one of those things that a company cannot make it cost effectively because so few people would spend the money for what you made. That is why I find myself making things for my boats. Extremely well done video and very nice job. I'm impressed!!!

I need a stake out pole, but I'm constantly like, "...nah, it'll never work"
@ianmartin29244 жыл бұрын
There's a bunch of no screw hole anchor trolley designs on YT. But to be honest, it's two pad eyes either end of the yak. Nothing to worry about. Just make sure you use Stainless nuts and bolts with a silicone bead. You'll be fine.

Truly a labor of love. No wonder you don't work for the mfgr. (your good ideas are too expensive for them) I bet your labor rate for this one modification outpaced the total cost of the entire kyak. Good job, GREAT VIDEO Especially loved to see you hired Alvin for the narration.

Marty.....you REALLY like the tiki gods....so much so that you either purposely or subconsciously add them to everything! Around the minute mark and your cut out board with the PVC pipes already has a tiki god appearance! FYI...Love the channel and inspiration .....just bought 2 (wife & I) Ascend 128T kayaks and I'm dying to start modding them out and get on the waters. In short time our home waters will be Charleston SC....but hopefully we can load em up and check out your waters soon!

I do not know about the other plastic you mentioned, but Ram X has been around for decades on other boats, especially Coleman Canoes, Yaks etc. Very good construction, BTW! I have Roto-Molded yaks...4 of them, and doubt highly if they would be as flexible while heating as the Ram X looks! Great Vid, thanks!

Yo Zo! Love this style of video. The fast forward with breaks giving little explanations. Keep up the good stuff. You are my kayak go to mod master. I have a question. What material did you use to cover the hole you put back together? @15:10 you are everything the piece back on. What is the black stuff the original plastic piece you cut out is sitting on?
