“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?" Matthew 6:25-26

Oooh I want to try this! Thanks for the recipe :) I'm also really interested in what kind of hygiene products you use. Bottled or bar shampoo? Soap bars or bottled body wash? Face and body lotion, makeup, hair care, etc., that kind of stuff! I know there's lots of junk in store bought shampoos, body washes, face washes, moisturizers, etc. I'm also curious about how you handle that time of the month. @@handandhomemade Possibly that's more than you need.....from what I've learned, most of us use a lot more than we need....soap isn't what cleans our laundry....soap just makes water "wetter"...the water going thru the fabric is what cleans it. I learned this from The Laundry Guy aka The Laundry Evangelist aka Patric (sic) Richardson. He has a degree in textiles & has written a book (Laundry Love) about doing laundry. The upside, too, is if you use less, your powder will be even MORE economical ! 😀😀 I make my own, too, & use same products you do.

Sometimes it lasts a little less than 6 months depending on how many loads per day I am running and the size of them. Regardless, this is much cheaper than buying Tide or Gain where I’m located. @handandhomemade
@handandhomemade Жыл бұрын
Hi! 😊 I have linked an article explaining why I use Borax in my nontoxic laundry detergent (only in my detergent- I don’t use it elsewhere). but you can leave it out if you prefer! I believe it will still clean well 😊 Borax is sodium tetraborate or sodium borate- NOT boric acid (hydrogen borate). It is a salt of boric acid but it is not chemically the same. The Environmental Working Group (EWG) gives borax as a safety rating of 5-6. However, the studies they used contained both borax AND boric acid (which are different) and the warnings referred to ingestion, eye contact, or long-term undiluted use. You can decide what is best for you and your family 🤍 wellnessmama.com/natural-home/borax-safe/
