isThis video shows you how to make natural shampoo at home without any harmful ingredients for your hair and skin. The shampoo that we usually buy from the market has a lot of harmful ingredients in it…no wonder it lathers so much. Here we will be making this shampoo as it was being made in Indian households for centuries from herbal ingredients. This is a requested video and though it is not a food video, it is definitely coming from my kitchen. So let's head into the kitchen and make this Ayurvedic Herbal Shampoo which will cleanse your hair and body the natural way as our grannies used to do in the good old days.
Ingredients in the order of instructions:
50 gms Shikakai/Acacia Concina
50 gms Reetha/Soap nuts
50 gms dry Amla/Gooseberry
1 tbsp Fenugreek/Methi seeds
1 tbsp Kalonji/Nigella seeds
1 litre Water
1/2 cup Curry leaves
1/2 litre Water

Shikakai is a cleanser...it doesn't darken the hair...amla does darken your hair if you leave it in a hair pack for a long time...on the other hand if you rinse it off immediately there shouldn't be a problem...amla is rich in iron and other vital nutrients for the hair.

George Ray . If it’s gets in your eyes , use cooled boiled water in a small glass ( like a medicine cup ) and irrigate the eye many times until the burning stops. It works every time. Shikakai is a know irritant , if it gets into your eyes.

Shweta, I would suggest that you go in for the powder form of all the ingredients and follow the same procedure...the only problem that I see is storage...if you have the facility of storing in a fridge then you can make and use for a longer period of time without spoilage... alternatively you can make smaller quantities and use it within a week if there is no fridge facility.

If your problem ii's with hair fall, dandruff, split ends, frizzy hair....then I suggest you go in for the flaxseed gel on my channel..use it 2 times a week...oil your hair and apply this gel from the scalp to the tips... leave it for 1/2 an hour and then shampoo...this gel doesn't need refrigeration...the link is given below...do give your feedback: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/a7GonZxmrNu5iaM.html
