I always enjoy watching your channel and have successfully followed your recipes , always clear and concise No loud background music or incessant chattering 👍 But in this video do u simply pour the egg yolk sauce over the tofu ? OR u place the tofu pieces into the sauce and then mix it to absorb the taste before arranging them on the plate ? That part is not shown Thanks

Amazing 🤩! This is luxurious eating ! Unfortunately, this CNY I suspect we will be in restricted numbers , with omicron everywhere where we live, I will delay my celebration with my children. I would like to surprise them with this dish that they can’t buy at a restaurant. I am not sure we have all the ingredients in my nearby Asian grocery right now ….delays in supply chain from the pacific. Hoping to see fuller shelves in next 2 months. Definitely a keeper to save and try in future! If I do this as good as you, my children will stop eating out 😄😄 . Thanks Roland!

Yes. We're also very sad that COVID19 has taken 2 years from our lives and they're going to take another one year away....argh...we can't wait for this pandemic to be over so that our family can gather like old times. Meanwhile, please take care. I hope you'll enjoy this recipe, at least virtually, if you can't get hold of the ingredients from your local Asian grocery. Have a wonderful weekend!

Salted egg yolks with curry leaves, garlic and bird's chili is such a classic sauce with super good flavor but it can taste super rich, I cannot eat too much of it as any dish with that sauce give me UGH feeling after 😁 I tried KFC Fried Chicken in Jakarta with salted egg yolks sauce on top... too wierd combo 😆 Btw, I WANT THAT KNORR SALTED EGG YOLK POWDER!!! 😍🥰 In local chinatown here in Honolulu, I can only find a bag of real boiled salted egg yolks and it's not cheap.
@spicenpans2 жыл бұрын
Ahh...ya I don't think Knorr sells salted egg yolk powder in your part of the world. That's a shame. They should consider doing so.

Wow looks real yummy. Roland can we prepare the tofu one day ahead? Also can use the plain soya milk from supermarket? Tqvm & gong Xi gong xi. Your "poon choy" was a praise last year 😍
@spicenpans2 жыл бұрын
Hi Lillian. Perhaps you can deep fry the tofu first before keeping them in the fridge. This is to prevent the tofu from releasing too much water. On the day itself, you can just air fry them again to make them crispy and hot. Hope this helps. Happy cooking!
