Awesome job man. I just bought a trap from my buddy's shop the other day and have had zero luck catching anything at the pond behind my place. I know there are crawdads in there, and I've tried shrimps, shad, a halved green sunfish, and hot dogs as bait so far. I'm wondering if the holes on the store-bought trap are too big.

Great video as always! What are the tiny crayfish for? Fishing?

Did you consider turning the catfood can on its edge to give the trap stable shape? And maybe another can at the entrance with the top and bottom cut out to keep the trap rigid?

What state is this in? I have a creek behind my house here in middle Ga but we only catch a few at a time in our gees trap.

A plastic bottle trap is easier.
