After perusing the comments, it is clear that most of the comments are negative. I sure do not see anyone stepping up and doing a better job. The man was kind enough to show you all his idea. Next time step up to plate or keep quiet. Thanks Bill for the getting the juices going inside the noggin!

Very well presented. Bravo. No dialogue needed. Good balance on the triangles. Maybe(?) consider a truss or gusset on that upright, only to slow it's eventual warp. But it all seems well within limits for that 400 lb log.

@azdieseltech63619 жыл бұрын
The amount of deflection in the boom is a little worrying. But, it did the lift. But, I wouldn't trust it to do that kind of lift over and over again. Like said before. Some reinforcement would be a good idea. I am certified rigging, mobile, and overhead crane operator. Metal fatigue would be my main concern. Cool idea though, I am definitely stealing some of the design ideas. I like the double receiver idea a lot. Going to be using mine on lifting heavy vehicle parts on and off of my flatbed F250. Engines, etc. Don't want it to be a permanent attachment to my truck, so this works really well.
